Will we get more interest if we combine the amounts into one account, or does it even make any difference?

This question is for all you people interested in time travel, and anybody else is welcomed to answer this question to. I always wondered which would be more fun, to go back or forward in time. If you go way forward in the future, then chances are you could be flying cars in the air like planes, which would be so awesome. If you go way back in time, then you can see what dinosaurs really looked like and well that would be quite the adventure. I'd probably pick the past because of that, what do you think people?

People form their morals and ethical constructs in many different ways; some use religious texts, some adopt them from their parents etc.

I personally try to use logic to develope my ethical concstruct but am interested in finding where other people develope their morals from, if they've ever seriously doubted or questioned them, if they feel strongly about their ethical system and if so why?

Today out of no where, my laptop(An IBM T42) shut off completely with no warning at all. It would not turn back on at first so i took out the battery and unplugged it for a while. After about i minute i put the battery back in and plugged it back in and it turned on just fine. But after a while i noticed that when sending messages in aim or windows live messenger my computer would freeze a moment then send the message when they were literally instant before.

Also, and this is the big one, when i use internet explorer, it will eventually freeze and i have to end the not responding task. Then i can no longer open anything until i completely restart my computer.

is there any reason this could be happening? do i have a virus? is my computer just crapping out on me?

I went out on Friday and a stranger guy approached me and gave me his number. He seemed decent/nice and cute... I talked to him on the phone today and he seemed nice. He said he's 30 years old... even though he looked younger and I'm 18... and he said he's attracted to me and that's why he gave me his number. Is it a good idea to go out with him?

actually, i am doing a paper about "how do British view their royal ceremony?" so i need to take surveys to whoever (no need to be British) people's opinion (especially to those who disagree with the existence of royal ceremony)
i myself think that, those ceremony will cost a lot, and do not relevant anymore nowadays.
hopefully, no one gets hurt, coz this paper
is just a requirement in passing the subject.

nb: please give your reasons and explain it briefly to each answer you write.

We had to write a paper in english regarding a law we dissagree with, i chose the drinking age. I personally dont drink, but here it goes.

Legal adults can marry, purchase or perform in pornography, vote, adopt children, own cars, have abortions, enter into legally binding contracts, operate businesses, vote, adopt children, give consent for sexual intercourse, hold public office, purchase weapons, be imprisoned, be executed, be an employer, sue and be sued, and go to war, but still cannot touch their lips to alcohol. America has the highest drinking age in the world, but still manages to pass off cigarettes to 18 year olds. You can be arrested for drinking alcohol, but not for passing on secondhand smoke. The drinking age in this country needs to be lowered out sheer respect of an adults choice to make adult decisions.

This guy's at work when he receives a call from the hospital informing him that his wife's been in an accident. He rushes to the emergency room where he's met by the doctor. They sit down in the waiting room and the doctor, with a very solemn look on his face starts to speak. But before he can, the guy interrupts.

Guy: "Doc, don't tell me my wife's dead. I just can't take it. Really, I can't take it. I love her."

Doctor: "Well, sir, I do have some bad news." Again the guy interrupts.

Guy: "Doc, just tell me, did she make it?" Doctor: "As I was saying, we did all we could. Right now she's in a vegatative state, which is likely where she'll remain for the rest of her life. She can stay here overnight, but after that, you'll have to take her home because your insurance doesn't cover this type of thing."

The guy slumps, just crushed.

Doctor: "With the right care, which will include you feeding her five times a day, cleaning her and giving her constant care on a daily basis, she'll likely live for at least another 30 years."

The guy sinks even lower, just crushed, and starts to cry.

Doctor: "As I said, your insurance doesn't cover this kind of care, so you'll have to make some sort of arrangements to purchase the equipment you'll need for your wife. I would suggest you put your house on the market today and sell it as quickly as possible and buy a mobile home. You're gonna need the excess cash. It should be enough to buy the equipment your wife needs and for you to live on for the next couple of months. By then, you should be able to qualify for welfare and other forms of state and federal aid."

By this point, the guy is sobbing uncontrollably.

The doctor reaches over, puts his hand on his shoulder and says, "Hey, look at me."

The guy looks up and the doctor smiles and says, "I'm just f*cking with you, she's dead."

I need a laptop that is good for business and education. Good graphics, sound and design would be good, price range would be under (Aus) $1300. I'm thinking of buying an Asus; are they any good and reliable? Also, can anyone tell me the difference between Windows XP and Vista (I know there is new widgets, but other stuff?), and what is the difference between Vista Home and Vista Business?

If Hillary Clinton is elected in '08, she will be the 5th US President in a row to have been educated at Yale...

(personally, I think we should get a refund for George Bush - he was defective.)

Did you know that Yale was founded by ministers for the purpose of educating ministers?

Yeah, evidently Harvard would not let them crack women's skulls open to find out if they were Witches... so they founded Yale.

So, there has to be a better school than the one that gave a degree to Bush, right?

I'm currently writing a paper on the IRS and the Federal Income Tax. I've heard many arguments saying that the 16th amendment to the constitiution allows for "...the taxation of profits and gains...and no other taxes may be enstated." The 16th also states that taxes can only be impossed on income; our jobs are considered labor wages which is an even trade for our time worked. Also there is something in the constitution about any tax put onto the people must be uniform across the entire population; therefor it doesn't make sense that rich people don't pay the same percent as we middle class people do right? Many court cases have been thrown out due to "lack-of-law" reguarding the IRS's inability to show any law or statute stating we have to pay income tax. So what's the deal?!? Do we just pay cause we think we have to or is there really weight to all these arguments I've heard???

A puck of mass 86.7 g and radius 3.73 cm slides along an air table at a speed of v = 1.53 m/s, It makes a glancing collision with a second puck of radius 5.12 cm and mass 120 g (initially at rest) such that their rims just touch. The pucks stick together and spin after the collision (b). The angular momentum of the system relative to the center of mass is 6.82e-03 kg*m^2/s.

I know that you have to use w=L/I i know you find the inertia for both pucks and i sort of know but i'm missing somethign the center mass is confusing me.

i found the center mass by doing(r1+r2)*m1/(m1+m2) but how do i put that in Inertia formula

any help is appreciated thanks in advance
