Mines is my German Pointer(big dog) trying to snuggle into my face, the sun coming in the window...I h8 it when shes' cute like that! I never want to go to work and leave her...when I do I always turn at the gate and look back..she's always got her nose pressed against my front door glass, with big sad eyes=( God I wish I could call her in work!

I work in London, and have been hearing more and more rumours about a proposed hike in fare prices early next year. Does anyone else out there know about it, and is there a website saying how much and when etc?

Does this seem like a problem to any one? If it is you might want to head to Chicago. The Daley Center in Chicago has the Naticity scene out front. This is a center for city government and it is placed there by the city.

The best known examples I guess are "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (should be "Harry Potter and the Philosoher's Stone") and "The Golden Compass" (should be "Northern Lights").

Why are the titles changed for other countries, such as Australia and America? Are there any examples of American books (for example) having their names changed for the UK market? If so, again, why?

You can say that I am consistently bad-mouthing you as a gender. I'm not. Just looking for reasons not to quit and give up.

You make fun of guys who live w/Mom. I dont...but if she is unable to take care of herself, why is it so wrong to move her into a spare bedroom? Ive read your posts about how this is a bad thing.

You want a guy who has a good enough job, can fix everything around the house, read to your kid and still talk out your problems with you. So why complain if we cant do one of those things?

Sensitive: weak. Putting boundries down: mean. Funny: insecure or slimy. Quiet: boring.

So this is what you want: a guy who dances w/you at the clubs when he's not working his steady job and not keeping in shape at the gym. Comes home and reads to the child you had w/someone else, "shares" but only about things that matter to you, doesnt have any interests that dont concern you or anything connected to you and gives you his paycheck.

At the risk of sounding cynical or ungreatful, I am wondering if this offer I got in the mail is too good to be true. I have absolutely horrible credit. I have a bankruptcy on my credit report as well as a very poor credit score (450-500!!!) and Bank of America would not even consider giving me a credit card months ago. I have checking and savings with them for a year now and all of a sudden I get a credit card offer in the mail. Unsecured, $2,500 limit, no apr or annual fee and rewards. Credit card companies laugh when I apply for credit so why now? I couldn't dream of a card like this when I had decent credit, so I am very suspicious now that I got this offer when my credit is MUCH worse. I didn't call the # on the letter. I called the bank and was told that all I had to do was accept the card and it is mine. Could this be a set up? I heard of those cops that tell people with warrants that they won something just so they can arrest them and I bounced a few checks...

My son is almost 6 months old. The holiday parade of lights is coming up. I want to take him cause at my house he loves the christmas lights, they make him laugh. The parade is at night obviousbly. Do you think that it would be okay to take him? Will it be too cold? Would it be okay if I covered him really good?

There are more than one million children who live in housing unfit for human habitation, which impacts on their health, education and future prospects, according to Shelter's own research.

Is it not shocking that, in the 21st century, there are thousands of children in Britain waking up homeless on Christmas Day and every other day of the year. We're not going forwards but backwards and this shouldn't be happening in the UK in the 21st Centuary

Ok, so I spent some time in local gun shops. I saw ALL types of guns. Now, while I don't know if I want a shotgun or a muzzleloader, I did find something else ot confuse me.

I know what smooth bore or rifled mean and does. But my question is while it makes a difference, is a rifled barrel essential? Hunters have used smooth bores with slugs for years. And I am sure with great success. Also, with a choke, a rifled slug might help some.

My main question is if for starting out, I would be ok without a rifled barrel (that costs like $150+). With a scope and a nice slug, I should still be good for 75yrds+ with some practice, 75yrds or more is doable. Just looking for some real insight as to IF I "have to" get a rather expensive rifled barrel to start out.
