My son is almost 6 months old. The holiday parade of lights is coming up. I want to take him cause at my house he loves the christmas lights, they make him laugh. The parade is at night obviousbly. Do you think that it would be okay to take him? Will it be too cold? Would it be okay if I covered him really good?

As long as you can bundle him up it should be fine. We took my son on his first camping trip when he was only 2 months old!
It was in Sherwood Forest for the Robin Hood Fair. We had a blast and got lots of cute pictures of the little guy in an over-sized Robin Hood hat among the ancient oak trees. Lots of good memories!

uh i don't know about a 5 month old? you seem to already have your mind made up on going? i would think about all the people there...especially a big crowd of people, some of them might have colds? you don't want to expose your child to the cold tempreture let alone a bunch of people who might have the flu or cold? i have a question to ask you, is this Britney Spears?

Yes, but allow yourself an easy getaway route, just in case he become over stimulated.
If he starts to fuss or cry, it is time to leave, don't try and see if he will calm down. If he is having fun, it will be wonderful, if he starts to cry and you don't leave it will be a miserable experience for you and everyone near you.

I always dressed one or two layers less than the kids, when it became too cold for me, I knew it was time to leave.

That's up to you...if it wasn't too cold I would take him...bundle him up.....or you could sit in the car if you could see everything really well, then you wouldn't have to worry about it

Cover him a lot, and you don't have to stay for the entire thing.
