There are at least 9 elements from the periodic table that in Latin translate into the names of certain colors or shades of color. This is due to the fact that these elements, when discovered were found in compounds that had these colors. what are the names of 4 of these elements, their Latin names, and which colors they represent?

I just thought with all of the negative stories, rhetoric and urban myths we hear about undocumented workers, I just thought we should hear a positive story as well. We always hear the "stories" of how undocumented workers allegedly abuse our hospitals, schools, don't pay taxes or into social security, but at the end of the day, if people didn't hire them, they wouldn't come here and would HAVE to go the legal route, which would result in their paying taxes, into social security, etc. The reason they don't is because they're exploited by employers who are only looking at their own bottom line and who want to pay low wages for cheap labor.

I have read that it kills people because of the final oxidation product of ethylene glycol which is oxalic acid. But oxalic acid is in some teas and some people drink massive amounts of tea and i don't see them dropping dead. Others have said that it is an like an alcohol and disrupts the central nervous system much more than ethanol. And there is no real definite answer as to why is kills a person. Also some say its because of oxalic acid deposits of calcium stop the kidneys from extracting urea and other chemicals thus leading to renal failure but this process is a bit slow and thus not the quick mechanism of death. And another reason is that it causes metabolic acidosis which would cause somebody to breathe rapidly, not really killing you unless its too acidic but that would have to be a pretty low ph.So i would like to know the real cause of death stage by stage and what causes death and not just a heart attack but the reasons behind it and what not.Im curious and it has bothered me

Im 17 and in highschool. Im a little behind with my credits but am catching up. The problem is, my mom keeps telling me that I am not moving out untill I finish high school even if Im 18 before I finish. I hate living at home, I'm always fighting with my mom but I just dont understand why he thinks she can keep me home even when I'm legal and, by law, able to move out? She cant do that right?

Why cant we just get rid of everyone who has AIDS and isolate those with HIV. eventually those with HIV will die out. This would stop millions from dying afterwards. Why look for a cure if the virus would eventually adapt to it and become even more deadly. Since many people in Africa have HIV and not many metropolitan areas that would be an ideal place to start. One big step would be to unite all- or most world powers to one government. Over the years we would have enough resources to scan everyone for HIV. Then quaretine those who are positive in africa and get rid of those with aids. There would also be no wars and little rebellion if you keep the people happy in a world run by one major government with each "countries' government" running their own respective regions. Obviously this cant be done in in one big step, but gradually wouldnt it work. We'd be saving millions, if not billions from the HIV virus and have one peacful united world government.

Why is it that when you see a friend that you haven't seen for so long, they always ask "Why don't you ever call me anymore?" or they call you "Stranger," or they say "You don't call me." Just something to indicate that you haven't been reaching out to them. They don't say this in a mean way, more of like a teasing way. My question is, they are as guilty as you are for not calling, why do they make it sound like it's all your fault? This is something that happens more often than one would think, so it's kinda casual but I thought it was worth asking.

1. Asking a question then demanding the type of answers you want?

2. Typing the same sentence twice like it's really going to prove your point?

2. TYPING THE SAME SENTENCE TWICE...

3. Giving best answer to your favorite contact not the actual best answer?

4. Placing a period as an answer, then click edit to add your real answer, just so you can be the first?

5. Blocking someone because your contact blocked them?

6. Reporting someone because they gave the same answer as you but theirs was 1st. So you reported them to make yourself look original?

It is a sad thing to hear our president say that the war we are fighting is against terrorism, and freedom will never allow terrorists to win. But friend, when you give up the very thing in which you are fighting to defend (freedom) for safety, then isnt the goal of the terrorists already accomplished ?
