I know that the FSM is a ficticious deity created by an Atheist to mock theists. I know the basics of its inception--it was a concept introduced by Robert Henderson a few years ago, as a model deity to help protest Intelligent Design being taught in Kansas schools.

But I am curious as to the deeper nature of the 'religion.' Is there any actual doctrine, life-lessons, etc... that have been developed as part of Pastafarianism since its inception? Has anyone delved further into what Pastafarianism truly is?

To ask in simpler terms: you know those 'Star Trek' dorks that can speak fluent Klingon--are there also FSM dorks out there that have actually formalized Pastafarianism? And if so where can I find their Holy Cook-Book? Wiki kinda comes up short.

I'm not looking for inspiration or enlightenment (maybe amusement, though). I'm just curious... again, I know it's a deliberate fake. (Atheists, I point that out to protect myself from my own brethren... no offense meant to y'all

Before you begin reading this, I should warn you; I am only a fourteen year old, I'm trying to gather some information. I apologize in advance if this upsets you in anyway.

So I have this friend, right? He's nineteen, a sophomore, and in a kind of a bad place right now. And no, not the kind of place you probably think. Like, an actual bad place. I saw his 'house' for the first time today; These last few days have been cold and drafty, with scattered rain. His house has windows with no glass. The front doors are sliding glass. There aren't any interior doors, just sheets in the doorway. The floors are bare, a large puddle of rain water leaks from the ceiling.

Being nineteen, people would think he should just move out, but he doesn't have anywhere to go. He's still in school as I mentioned before. My first priority is getting him out of that place. He's currently living with his mother, but from what I understand she's kicking him out within the next two-three days.

Help? Any?

there is 3 student and they buying a tv and tv is 30pounds so each student give 10pounds so they got tv but then manager find out that its 25pounds so he gives that 5pounds to his worker to give it back to them three student but the worker takes 2 pounds and give 1 pound back to each student so that means each student payed 9pounds

so 9X3=27
AND WORKER TOOK 2 POUNDS
SOO THATS ADDS UP TO 29
WHERE DID THAT 1POUND GO

IF YOU ANSWER THIS YOUR GENIUS

Everyone coming up with solution such as:

It's a trick of misdirection by adding or subtracting at the wrong times. The worker's 2 pounds should not be ADDED to the students' 27pound number, it should be subtracted.
27-2=25pounds, the amount the manager charged for the TV.

Think of it this way: how much money each individual actually has in his pocket.
3students have 30, then 0 as the manager has 30. He realizes he overcharges, so then the worker has 5, the manger 25, and students still 0. When the worker hands them each a pound, the equation now looks like this:
3students = 3pounds total
worker = 2 pounds total
manager = 25 pounds total
All adds up to 30. No missing pound.
The students did indeed pay 27, but as the manager has 25 you need to subtract the worker's two pounds, not add.

Another example
each student still payed 10 pounds but the price was 5 more than it was supposed to be. so the manager gives his worker 5 pounds to give back to the students. so he takes 2 out of that 5. it still = 25 but then each kid gets 1 pound back....if it was 25 pounds and 3 kids were splitting the price evenly then they would not be paying 9 pounds each. one kid would pay 9 and the other two would be paying 8. (8+8+9 = 25). with the other 2 left over going to the worker who took it....it all adds up to 27 pounds. (the other 3 were given back to the kids)
8+8+9+2+3 =30!

Equation CaO+H2O-->Ca(OH)2
Question: how much calcium hydroxide will be produced when 10g of calcium oxide reacts with 3g of water?

I belive rather than having to covert from grams to moles there is an alternate method:
CaO+H2O-->Ca(OH)2
56.08g : 18.01 g
10.00g : Xg now I am unsure what to do from here!
12.34g is the final answer
Any help on this alternate method is appreciated

I have a conflict (I guess you could call it) about tipping. I don't want to sound tight with my money but I don't understand why I should tip? Isn't it part of the job such as a waiter, hairdresser, nail technician, bar tender, etc to service the customer? Shouldn't the price be already included for their service and now they want tips too? I work hard for my money and feel that I shouldn't have to tip 20% or more (or even less) for lousy service. Nowadays, I feel that the service I recieve in these types of profession lack the professional services it should come with already and that a tip is automatically expected. Don't get me wrong, if I receive exceptionally great service, I don' mind giving a generous tip, but if I don't get the service I expect to receive, I have the right to hold my tip. What do you think?

My daughter is 4 years old and only eats pureed foods and crunchy foods. Crunchy foods include Melba Toast, some cereals, some cookies, crackers and some nuts.She does not eat any fruits or veggies that are not pureed. Now nutritionally she is fine and she is very healthy. I do add wheat germ, flax seed and iron infused baby cereal to her purees. Intellectually above average. Some tharapists say she needs intervention others say no. Anyone have or had a similar problem---Please write to me with your experiances

A few weeks ago I had these red bumps on my chest.. I went to the doctor and she said it was normal and the red bumps are a symptom of stress/maybe a cold and they'll go away.

Now, they're behind my neck, on my back, and everywhere on my chest/stomach, shoulders. They're getting dried out, itch a little, but not much. I think it's hives.

I am under a LOT of stress. I hate my job, my boyfriend is a ***, I have so much housework to do because I'm a maid apparently. Could it be caused by stress? How do I get rid of this?

Thanks.

I have two actually:

1. "I'm tired of chasing my dreams. So, I'm just gonna ask them where they're going and hook up with them later".

2. "I was standing in the doorway at a casino one time, and the bouncer came up and told me I had to move because I was blocking the fire exit. I said: Dude...if you are flammable and you have legs...you are NEVER blocking a fire exit"!

I'm planning on purchasing a new version of the bible, I was reading through the King James version and some of it is hard to understand and translate into contemporary english.

What I would like to know is, what is the difference between NIV and NLT? I read excerpts from both, and they seem mostly the same. Can you guys please recommend one or the other and please let me know your opinion on why you prefer that version.

Thank you!
