To make matters simpler for you. Look at H2O. A matter called water. Science has it that all matter can exist in three forms.
GAS, LIQUID en SOLID. you can have water say in a lake. en the ICE -Solid is there, Liquid- WATER is there en Vapour is also there at the same time.
So is like God. Stop using yo human understanding. Eg you cant be in New york at the same time in London. But God is Able. Eg. in the Bible the prophets metioned it somemany times that the spirit of God was with them. Does it mean he had left the Heavenly throne?
Finally the spirit of God or the Father God sent the Spirit of God the Son to carry out a mission of Salvation on Earth. He had to acquire a Human body from Mary. So as to be like Man. Because Man is rigid. Only understand manly stuff.
So Jesus was Getting the directives from his Father.thats why you see Jesus praying to the Father, pleading OK. En He is God the Son like it or not. You wont change that. that is it . But why is this Fact hurting so many in the world.

ok, so for many many years, many people ask this question, i asked this question also, the answer is not that simple to explain but i'll give it a try: The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are God. It's just like water; liquid, gas or iced, its always water. Now, when Jesus came to this earth, he wanted to show us that he was made man, this is when the water "split' and even in one passage of the bible, when Jesus is baptized, the three are together. It all boils down to faith, if we believe, we do not question. It doesn't have to do with other religions, but the beauty is in believing when you don't know all the facts. It's like love, you know it's there, but you don't see it or know all the facts, you just believe.

Jesus Chrit was sent to earth by God, the Father to be born of Virgin Mary as a man and grew as a man to save the sinners from sinning but the Jews do not have belief on Him , so that He was crucified which caused his death to fullfill the prophecy then went to heaven with God the Father as God.

Jersus Chrit has dual capacity at that time He was nailed to the cross and prayed as a man but not as God.

Exactly.
Better yet, who was talking from heaven when Jesus was being baptized on earth if they are one and the same?

Matthew 3:16, 17: "After being baptized Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw descending like a dove God’s spirit coming upon him. 17 Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”"

**Edit**
Mandii, I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. We do NOT believe God and Jesus are the same person.

Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Your mom, dad, any siblings you may have may well have the same last name. Let's just say that your last name is Anderson. If YOU talk to YOUR MOM, two Anderson's would be talking to each other. Jesus (God the Son) talked to God (God the Father) PLEASE read the Bible and go to Church. That's the best way to find your answer.

This question has been discussed for many times and answered many times. But this question also is mostly fired question from our Muslim friends who wonder about our faith.

How can Jesus be God, while he himself prayed to God? It is because he was addressing his heavenly Father in virtue of the sufferings of His created human nature. The bible mentioned so many facts Jesus is God.

Fact 1: John 10:30

“The Father and I are one”

Fact 2: Matthew 28:19

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Fact 3: John 1:1

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Fact 4: John 1:14

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Fact 5: John 8:58

“I tell you the truth, Jesus answered, before Abraham was born, I am!"

Fact 6: Matthew 2:1

“After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."

Fact 7: Matthew 26:62-64

“Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, "Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?" But Jesus remained silent.
The high priest said to him, "I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ,[e] the Son of God." "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. "But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

Fact 8: Matthew 3: 16-17

“As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, this is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

Fact 9: Matthew 17: 5-8
“While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"
When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. "Get up," he said. "Don't be afraid." When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.
There so many passages in the bible declare Jesus is God, studying this simple facts will let you understand the truth of Jesus Christ.

There is no impossible to God he can do anything he want his knowledge is infinite and it is very difficult for human mind to comprehend his vast knowledge.

Good bless….
