This may sound like a silly question to some, but I am just curious. I got my Bachelor's degree in Political Science. I've decided I would like to teach or become a professor and I'd like to specialize in History. So I'd like to get a Master's in History, but I was wondering if you needed a Bachelor's degree in History to qualify for a Master's in History. I only took a few History courses during my undergrad year. I would imagine maybe it would be a problem if you got a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Phys Ed., etc., but I think Political Science and History are similar in many ways.

VA is known as "The Most Vain State" b/c we have the most vanity plates in the nation. So, I've seen many, many plates, and had a few, myself! Good examples are: TOMS CAR, KIDZNME, L8 AGAIN, 10Q DAD (thanks from a high school grad) See? Understood!

Bad examples: LJN2PM, JR LACK, FTDPWR (I asked. It was Fight The Power),etc. What??? Do you like easy ones, or prefer the challenge of the more cryptic license plates?

I'm spending the day at my moms, she is cooking the turkey and I am making all the side dishes and dessert, my family are all ok with them being vegan (after much debate about marshmallows as the topping for sweet potatoes--my family was h*ll bent on them but we finally settled on finely ground pecans & walnuts). I am trying a tofurkey for the first time.

I am thankful for my youngest son being out of the Army after 3 years of service. He moved out of the apartment on base a month ago, but he is officially out of the Army as of Nov 23, 2007

For those of you in other countries, do you have a similar type holiday as Thanksgiving?

I'm a teenager and Judy Blume is my favorite author. I've read all the books she's written and especially enjoyed "Forever" "It's not the end of the world" "Tiger eyes" etc... I think i enjoyed them the most because they're easy to relate to and they are also easy to follow along with. Since i have read all of her books, does anyone have any ideas on other authors or books that are somewhat similar in ways to these ones i mentioned?

Thank you tons!!!!
I look forward to reading your answers :)

I've recently purchased a cheap noise machine to help me sleep, and I'm happy with the results, but it's not a very good model. There is a lot of white noise in the background of each sound, and the noises loop about every three seconds. Can anyone recommend a good sound/noise machine with a good selection of noises? Thanks!

We moved into a house without a basement and the water pressure tank is under the house. How can we keep it insulated so it doesn't freeze. The guy before us had some makeshift insulation(whatever he could find) and then kept a light bulb on....there must be another way.
