Years after the famous foot race, the hare challenged the tortoise to a rematch on bicycles. The hare was able to pedal at a rate of 15 miles per hour (mph), while the tortoise could pedal only at a rate of 12mph. Knowing he was slower, the tortoise makes up a lame excuse for being given a 27-mile head start in the 165-mile race.

What is the largest head start the tortoise could have been given without being able to beat the hare? Explain.

I still don't understand why people want to get married. Because their in love? Puleease... you don't have to get married to show love. To please their parents? Hah! ridiculous.

I have 0 Taxable income so I dont have to pay any taxes but have qualified dividends. I do the worksheet line 44 but I keep getting 0 for taxes after I do it. Does this sound right?

I can't believe this. My father in law left my husband and the whole family for another women and really didn't care about what her left behind. Only for everyone to suffer. My huband as not seen his father for like 4 years and now a month and 2 weeks ago he was in the hospital with pain. They found colon cancer, removed colon, the one week spreaded to his liver, and then 3 weeks after that it's in his lungs. He now has fluid going to his brain. I just can't belive that in the amount of time he went from walking around normal to know they say he won't make it to the end of the week. I guess I have to face and my husband to that he is just going to die and there is nothing we can change. I ca't belive a man could walk away from his family and not look back. There was not time to heal from this and now we all have to go on from this of what he did.

I guess my question is has anyone gotten to far with death like this and just pulled out of it? Thank you!

Who sang this song and what is the title? It got very brief play in the early 1980s (around 1982). It has these lyrics:

(and this is the refrain)

It's not in the Top 100 of 1982. It's a male singer, and the sound is like Steely Dan, very mellow.
