am i able to retain my number if i were to change to another mobile company?

like if im currently subscribe a plan with company A....
after my contract was up, and i decided to sign a plan with another company....am i still able to keep and just use my old number?

Yes you are just contact ur existing network and ask for a PAC (Port Authority Code) this will enable you to take your number to a new network. Once connected to your new network give them this code and hey presto!The majority of providers give you up to 6 months for u to port your number across to them with the exception of Vodafone who make you do it at point of sale!
