Just because it's animated (usually associated with kids' movies) doesn't mean it's going to be boring. I've noticed that animated films have been getting progressively more adult. "Ratatouille", while still aimed at kids, had a pretty deep message to it, and I didn't think kids would understand all of the movie anyway.

I've read that the critics weren't too impressed with it - but not because it was a kids' movie. Check out http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809419836/info and judge for yourself

it incredibly is only a baby's action picture. I take exhilaration in any action picture that paints animals in a sympathetic easy; looking Nemo and Babe have been given a exceptional sort of folk thinking approximately what's on their plates, and in Bee action picture, the bees did get tremendously disillusioned while they found out their honey became being pilfered... specially it incredibly is a Jerry Seinfeld action picture, he's a comedian, no longer a botanist or biologist, his objective wasn't accuracy, it became only a experience-good kinfolk action picture. Edit: Jeremy - you suggested, "early life movies and books quite gave me a various concept of farms than their actuality, and it took some years for me to give up believing the fantasies." I conform to a pair quantity yet i do no longer think of i could want my little female (who's popping one this month) to reveal screen a action picture approximately bees being smoked and crushed with the intention to do away with them from their hives; i do no longer want my female to reveal screen somebody slaughter a pig; i do no longer want her to be certain human beings strangulate and gut fish. i could plenty want her to reveal screen Charlotte's internet or Babe or looking Nemo or Bee action picture. i locate it irritating to be certain movies of it as an grownup. And confident i'm thoroughly conscious of animal subject concerns and the unrealistic photograph society paints, once you're preaching right here, you're preaching to the choir - i'm vegan myself. i think of you're taking life way too heavily in spite of the undeniable fact that... confident, there's a exceptional sort of crud that passes as television for babies proper now, yet finally you have the distant, you own the television, do away with it in case you do no longer like it. i want my childrens to be raised watching friendly Disney movies. My daughter does not could be raised watching only great Politically superb, green friendly stuff. i did no longer and that i grew to become out nice, and finally my ethical training and my good parenting will prepare her (while it incredibly is age proper!) the realities of life.

I watched it today with my 4-year old, and it's terrible.
It's not funny for kids (jokes go over their heads, and the storyline is pointless), and it's only worth a chuckle or two for grown-ups.
I also found one of their attempts at a joke quite shocking, actually. And NOT funny at all (the one about the suicide pact, in case you're wondering).

I actually just saw it this afternoon. It had some funny parts and most of what was being said was only funny to adults but it wasn't too funny. I also thought it was wasy too long...hahaha. it was only 100 minutes which I thought was longer than it should have been. But I give it a B-

My little brother saw it and he is really into the animated movies like Shrek, Toy Story, and one about a rat. Anyway he said it was very boring.... He said that it was not as funny and as entertaining as the other movies.
