We are renting a home through a rental management company. On October 1st, after just signing another year lease, they inform us that the owners of the house want thier house back. The rental company gave us 60 days to move out. We have bought a mobile home and are still waiting for it to be moved, but now the owner wants possesion of the house by Nov. 15. Fifteen days early!
They want us to pay pro-rated rent and we still have to try to get our deposit back. I don't understand, how is it a rental company can take your deposit and charge you penalty rent if you break your lease with them, but we have to follow our rental agreement just to get our deposit back. Shouldn't we get it back regardless? They broke the contract with us.

After learning different martial arts techniques (I explained my styles in Randy S' question), and it being one of my biggest hobbies, aswell as having a few friends that know Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwan Do, and a few others; I think we should merge some kicks, punches, blocks, and even create new, more modern moves that fit into today's fighting. I have no idea what to call it though. It would also be nice to be the father of a new martial art. I am wondering what would be good names for it, and what the most powerful techniques are in your styles, so that we may include them. I already know variations of the following moves will make it into the new martial art:

-Crescent Kick
-Axe Kick
-Front Kick
-Side Thrust Kick
-Spin Hook Kick
-Round Kick
-Round House Kick
-Standard Punches (Jab, Body Punch, Head Punch, etc.)
-Silat Grappling Techniques
-Flying kicks (F. Front K., F. Side Thrust K., etc.)
-Westernized boxing techniques, wrestling, etc.

Suggestions for more moves?

Does showing dogs win good money? And if I kept one pup from every litter, should it be the best male, or the best female? And about how much does winning a dog show earn? Would winning help you sell puppies better?

i get told a lot that I'm "different". I think it's because I'm very helpful. I always feel bad for people, and LOVE helping others. I once gave up my lunch money to buy a random person a lunch, and love giving people mints or cupcakes if I bring them to school. I'll wait at the door and hold it open for people even if they're halfway up the stairs, and I love picking up people's garbage that they leave laying around after lunch.
I can't figure out why exactly I'm like this. It's not to get more friends, and I'm sure a lot of people think it is because I only have a few friends, but I also think it's because I was made fun of when I was younger and I NEVER want anyone to go through what I did. What do you think? And is it bad? No one really takes advantage of me, and if they did I probably wouldn't care anyways. And should I change my attitude? Because my friend says I'm nuts.

I have been amazed at the amount of fat that the grill takes out. Once it solidifies into the white stuff, it makes me sick to think how my body could have processed that stuff. Anyway, with the large amount of fat that drips out, does this significantly reduce the fat and cholesterol content?

Let me get this straight about the bible:

If some of the bible is true, then we know the rest of it is true. For example, the bible mentions a real place called Hebron. Since we know that Hebron is real, we can assume that the rest of the places, persons, and events recounted in the bible are factual.

This would suggest that if I'm reading -- for example -- the Sherlock Holmes yarns, and if I find that they contain an accurate historical portrayal of the city of London, then that means that Sherlock Holmes actually existed.

Hmm. What are the chances of that?

hello all

i am a new landlord. i just bought an apartment. i will be moving into it myself in a couple of years but i will be renting it out in the meantime. it is currently in livable condition.

however, i am thinking of completely updating and renovating the kitchen and bath before i rent it out to a tenant. a friend of mine disagrees with what i want to do and thinks that since the tenant would probably do some damage to the brand new kitchen and bath, i should leave the kitchen and bath as is for the tenant and completely renovate it when i move into it.

my reasoning is i want to take care of all the renovations now before the tenant moves in , so that i don't have to worry about doing any more renovations when i move in. i figure, besides, IF the tenant DOES do some damage to the apartment, i can always hold back some of the security deposit to cover the expense of repairing the damage.

who is right? me or my friend.

thank you

I wonder if anyone else has read this book or would have any idea of how I can find it. I have no idea what it is called or who wrote it! The book about a woman who one day decides to leave her family and go to live in an old cottage in the country and live by herself, off the land as much as possible. It is about her experiences on her own and how she manages. Things I remember from the book are that she cut her own hair after several years of just letting it grow wild and she had no mirrors so had no idea how bad she looked, she bought old furniture, never went into town , that kind of thing. After many years her daughter who was now grown up found her and went to visit and talk to her about how hurt she was that her mother left. That's most of what I can remember, I read the book when I was only a teenager but it has stuck in my mind all these years and I would love to read it again, I just have no idea how on earth I am going to find it. Any suggestions?

How much does raising an average litter of puppies, as well as the mother test costs, sire costs, vaccinations and wormings, and average food and other stuff usually cost? For one litter. And how many litters a year can a female safely have? And about how much money would you get from selling all the pups except one that I'd keep?
