O wow! That's a hard one. I have aspirations to visit both! I am studying both the Greek language and Egyptian Arabic.

Both are very different countries.
Both share very ancient but DIFFERENT histories.
Greek culture is Meditterenean/European
Egyptian culture is Arab/Middle Eastern
Greece is Eastern Orthodox and Egypt is mostly Muslim
Greece depends on its seas, Egypt depends on Its Nile River.
Greece is full of mountains. Egypt is full of deserts.
Greece is more liberal and Western. Egypt is more strained and conservative.
Greece has the lowest crime rate in Europe. Egypt is the least terrorist country in the Middle East.
Greece has many more islands, and touristic spots. Also Greece is more developed, safe, and a much cleaner country. So i would choose Greece because of that. No hard feelings for the Egyptians though =) i love them all =)

Greece - Because it's a country full of History (Ex: "Cradle of Western Civilization, and home to the Olympic Games..etc.)
Also Greece has many many islands that are Cosmopolitan and beach resorts. Greece is more developed and I wouldn't feel comfortable going into a Middle Eastern country. That's my opinion.

i have been to both, and i would say definetely GREECE!!
Because it's more beautiful, cleaner and devoloped than Egypt.
Egypt may be cheaper but not as beautiful as Greece, besides this- its a third world country. It's not as developed as Greece. - less resorts and touristic spots. Also air pollution can be exhausting in Cairo and Alexandria -- Athens and the islands are much cleaner and prettier to look at.

Egypt of course. Greece is nice but you can always go later.
Egypt provides a good combination of Sightseeing, Adventure and relaxing. any other places will only have one of them.
Additionally, Egypt will be much cheaper than Greece, so you can do much more with the same budget.

Greece. It's less hostile to Americans. I'd be very cautious traveling to the Middle East as a U.S. Citizen. Why take the risk? Go to Greece and enjoy.
