I am a 16 year old boy and I am not sexually active. I have a lot of pubic hair around my buttox and my penis and wondering if I should shave it. I heard it varies from person to person, but I am wondering If I should do it if I am not sexually active. And if I should, how should I do it.

Don't do it. If and when you fall in love, if she wants you to, then you can. I myself like my man to be a naturale. Men shaving is just a fad. :)

No -- not now, and not ever!
Pubic hair has lots of functions:
--prevents chaffing
--keeps the area warm in winter and cool in summer
--is a clear sign of adulthood (which is why some guys almost throw up when they see a shaved woman--it makes them feel they are about to have sex with a child, which is a major taboo)
--maybe most importantly, it allows air to circulate better in the region. This evaporates sweat and actually REDUCES odor! If you have no hair there, fungus and bacteria thrive in the dampness, and you can get some serious infections, as well as non-serious ones that just make you itch and/or smell bad.
Hair is functional, but it's also sensuous, mysterious, and just plain SEXY!

As a woman I do not find men who shave their genitals attractive. Yes, I understand it is a personal preference to shave and I respect that. My personal opinion is that if you feel that your pubic hair is too dense then you could trim it very short. The thing about shaving is that once you start you must continue or face the itchy and uncomfortable time of regrowth.

There's probably no reason to shave it unless you dislike the look. Nowadays people are into looking like babies. Some wierd fetish. People even shave their armpits. I tried it before, thought it was kinky, but I prefer to leave it alone. It's natural, looks nice, and plus it would be a bother to keep shaving it anyways.

Personally, I love a shaved man ..... public hair just gets in the way .... shave is alot clean & more sexy

if your not sexually active its your choice but if your going to be then i would, but boys shouldn't shave it bald just give it a good trim. try using clippers instead of a razor

No Way! I am a chick and a trim, yes. Shave, no way. It itches like crazy when it grows back. Be happy you have hair and just trim it. No one will be paying any attention to your *** buddy.

and i shave all my pubes,
i love the feeling ,
try it,
if you like it you can keep doing it,
if you dont like it ,
then you simply stop shaving.

this isnt a shy question is it.mmm well i think that u should trimp it and b careful not to hurt yourself. VERY CAREFUL. trimp the frontal area so it looks clean cut but not bald. as fo da butt mmm well i watch tru life and this guys dad shaved his butt..

It depends on one preferences. If you shaved them, yours will look longer psychologically and clean.
