I have been amazed at the amount of fat that the grill takes out. Once it solidifies into the white stuff, it makes me sick to think how my body could have processed that stuff. Anyway, with the large amount of fat that drips out, does this significantly reduce the fat and cholesterol content?

Significantly? I think not.

It may a bit, b/c grease runs out. But then, so do the juices.

It is a good grill to take into the mountains for quick cooking meats like burgers and hotdogs maybe some pork chops and chicken breasts that are boneless and thin. makes a mighty mean steak and toasts bread pretty well. I have one at the hunting camp. It has non stick so it cleans up pretty good. Both sides of the food cook just like a waffle iron. I do not recommend it for cooking any kind of meat with bones in it. you can't cook eggs or pancakes on it because of the angle. It does drain the fat real well because it is on an angle. If you lose the little grease catcher then the grease will go everywhere, unless you put a plate or something to catch the grease.
