Why do people use these terms?
Is it because they can't properly spell the word PREGNANT?
The definition of Prego is as follows:
"Prego" is Italian for "I pray", and is usually used in response to "grazie" ("thanks"), where in English one would say "You're welcome."

I don't know, maybe it's just me, in all my hormonal glory, but these two words and any derivative thereof just get my goat...
