i dont think its weird.....my mom says that when a cat is cleaning him self its because we are going to have visitors later on the day... thats just a myth but u know how mexican familys are... ^_^

They have enzymes in their saliva that kill germs. They also have thorns of sorts on their tongue that remove dirt and bring oils up from their skin. If you ever had a cat lick your arm or leg it feels like a Brillo pad.

I don't think it's weird... cat's are so bloody clean, they're such clean, self-sufficient animals... I mean, they lack apposable thumbs, so it's not like they can hop in the shower to clean off, right?

They clean and groom themselves without looking at it as gross. I think if they would shower themselves if they could,lol.
