Sense Jesus supposedly rose from the dead in three days, doesn't that mean he really didn't "give his life for us"? Come on, I would give my life up for three days right now for 50 dollars.

What if in the hospital a birth father decided to give the baby up for adoption and the birth mother didn't want that but the birth father had more rights than her. Do you think this would stop all the baby stealing done by adoption agencies and the mothers saying they don't know who the father is.

My girlfriend recently asked me an interesting question regarding worship and I wasn't sure what to say. Just thought I'd see what everyone else has to say about it. It was something along the following lines.

"If God is all perfect, humble, etc., why does he want everyone to worship and praise him for creating mankind and sending his son as a sacrifice? That just seems kind of contradictory and self-centered."

well lately sometimes i get these cramps in my foot where the toe beside my big toe stiffens and goes down and won't move for a few seconds and then it goes away. Then Sat night I went out and I wore some tall boots. The ones that come up to your knee. Well they hurt my feet if i walk too much in them. And I was dancing at a club so they were really hurting. At one point through the night I was on stage and jumped about a 2 ft down to the floor and it hurt so bad.

i woke up yesterday and my feet are sore which i know is understandable but my toe next to my big toe on my right foot feels like it is asleep. Kinda tingly . When i walk or touch it feel numb or like a rubberband is tied tight around it.

what does this mean? and why is it still feeling like that 2 days later.

FYI: recently i found out i have fibromyalgia and part of that was muscle spasms and restless leg syndrome.

So.........what do you think is wrong with my toe?

Lately there have been a lot of Y/A Q&As that contain the phrase "the feminists." Never positive. Always stereotypical and critical. I know that feminism is diverse. So diverse that many of us, esp. women of color, cannot relate to the stereotype.

Please give me your heartfelt reaction to Alice Walker's definition of "womanist." Though I do not think that this def. applies only to women of color, this is how I would describe myself. The word feminist just does not fit me. The following paraphrase is fr. In Search of Our Mother's Gardens.

Womanist is to feminist as purple is to lavender. A womanist is bold, universalist, committed to survival and wholeness of entire people, male and female. A womanist is also -- and thoroughly -- erotic: A woman who loves other women, sexually and/or nonsexually and exultantly. Loves music. Loves dance. Loves the moon. Loves the Spirit. Loves love and food and roundness. Loves struggle. Loves the Folk. Loves herself. Regardless.

Should be made to walk or bus to school? It took me 45 mins to do a 10 min journey this morning all because I have to go past a school. I would catch a bus but I have to carry tools. I was late for work and so I lost money. I think that some parents are dead selfish. and should loose there licences for making unessasary journeys. Greenpeace have been trying to stop this for years because of polution but they still keep up there selfish ways. I say let us blockade the schools and keep these planet destroyers out
Don't bother to correct my spelling, I am an honest but not very bright worker and i'm not going to use spell check

First off, I am not saying that people who have done this are wrong, I am just curious on what others think. I had an experience where my AFP levels were high, which points to the baby possibly having spina bifida (The spine didn’t fuse properly and as a result the baby is born with holes in his spine and/or back.) and doctors suggested I have an amnio. I refused to get an amnio and instead opted for an in-depth ultrasound. The ultrasound reveled that the baby was formed properly and looked normal. Because I had early bleeding and the ultrasound came back normal, the doctors said I really didn’t need the amnio and most likely the baby was fine. My question is, is it morally wrong to terminate a pregnancy just because there is a chance (be it 20% or a 90% chance) that the baby might not be “normal”? When I was going through my experience, I had to think long and hard and even though I have always dreamt of having a perfect little baby, I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t at least give him a chance at life. I didn’t do the amnio because there was a chance (even though it was small) of losing the baby after the amnio. On the other hand, what chance at life would he have if he was disabled? I am so torn and am just curious what people’s opinions are. I ended up giving birth @ 23 weeks and the baby did not survive. I have been racking my brain, trying to make sense of what happened (It was a PPROM) and at times I think that maybe my baby was going to be disabled and God was sparing me the heartache. Everything happens for a reason, right? But then I think, I wouldn’t care either way, he was my baby and I would have loved hi either way. Has anyone experience this before or been in a similar situation? And even if you haven’t, how do you feel about women aborting their baby because they were told the baby would be disabled or mentally ill?
