Hello: I am somewhat new to MS Excel 2003
With my co-worker we create 2 different spreadsheets of the phone call that we do during the month. I would like to know if there is a way that we can create one shared spread sheet were we can both work from and save simultaneously. If it can’t be done what do you suggest??

Thanks!

use the same sheet by placing rows for you and your friend.. use the same formulas but alter the cell addresses for each cell to automate the calculation. you can just enter both your expenses side by side and allocate a place for the formulas (other cells) so that you wont need to do the math yourselves.

You can share one spreadsheet but that's more a function of file sharing on your computer then it an Excel issue.
If you can share files, you need to place the spreadsheet in a file you can both access and update as needed. I don't believe you'll both be able to be using the file at the same time though. You'll have to update and then save and close and then your coworker will have access (and then they need to save and close so you have access).
Good luck.

Yup. When you're in your spreadsheet, you'll notice that the bottom left-hand corner has 3 tabs. If your friend accesses your spreadsheet over a network or something, and uses another tab for his chart or whatever, then you'll be working on the same spreadsheet.

Hope this helped!

Add a field in column A for your Name, then Excel can filter by name and you'll have only one Sheet.
