So my white sweatshirt got black sharpie marker stain on it as someone who used the dryer before me forgot to check their pockets and the sharpie leaked, and got onto my sweatshirt.
Do you know any way to get it out?
I tried "shout gel" and that had some effects but it is still visible. its about a 1"x1" mark and Im going to try bleach soon, but do you have any other ideas?

thanks.

Heck I don't know if I even have the right "Yahoo" catagory- but anyway maybe someone could direct me in the right direction. Our Godson came out to visit early spring and now his deadbeat parents dont want him back (and he doesn't want to go back-which I dont blame him).
His dad is a convicted sexual predator and his mother is pretty much worthless (they are divorced). His dad pays child support to his mother (which we never see).
Well now that he doesn't want to go back, I want the support the to feed this teenager that eats like a horse. Problem is we live in California and his "parents" live in another state.

Anybody know if its within our rights to go after the child support? We even put him in school out here!

I am not sure I am calling it the right thing.

They will not send an only child or only son into a hazardous duty area.

What about the rest of our armed forces?

I am prone to a sudden burst of enthusiasm followed by a two week (or so, generally) decline in interest. It maddens me. Can't I just stick with something, for once? I would love to keep practicing my guitar but I'm lazy. And frustrated. How can I kick my own ***? I feel burdened and smothered by that first, initial, familiarizing yourself with the instrument horribleness of sore fingers and thinking too hard. It brings me back to the early days of frustratingly bad clarinet playing. I think the reason I became so good at clarinet was not because I liked it, but because I was so damn frustrated- I would just keep practicing the same thing over and over until it was right. My parents made me practice as a child. How do you keep yourself practicing? Did you enjoy the beginning part where it hurt to hold down the strings and you couldn't get your pinky to hold down one string (forget about several strings) hard enough to get a sound out? HELP!

I have been pronounced dead twice. Once by a firefighter, once by a paramedic. The only sensations that I've had either time was an overwhelming cold, a loud clap like a book shutting really hard in a library and darkness. I begin to pull away from myself, as I were Astral Projecting (which I regularly did during this period in my life) and then I wake up, to the utterly shocked face of my rescuer. Both times, I came to and had no injuries, no signs of what happened to me. The physical damage just...vanished. There was no water in my lungs from drowning, and no burns or scars from becoming a human pyre. Not even a blister.

There was no hand of God involved. There was no heaven. No light in the tunnel. No long lost relatives. No feeling of overwhelming power. No meeting of deities. Nothing.
What do you make of it?

I was just reading this story about Steve Burns, the former host of "Blue's Clues", who recorded an album with some of the members of The Flaming Lips:

http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?id=1573406&vid=186346

Now plenty of established musicians have made appearances on kids shows (there have been a ton on Sesame Street) but they were able to return to the careers in music that they already had. Besides being in some bands while growing up Steve didn't have much of a musical history, so do you think he will be able to erase the image of the striped rugby shirt and be accepted in the rock community?

My mom and dad got divorced when I was 1 year old and i have never had a problem except for the back and forth.since i've turned 11 now 13 i've been fighting with my mom almost everyday.we might get in a fight about losing something and then she brings up my dad and says why don't you live with him.she also said a few days ago that she didn't want to see me anymore and that i didn't love her, but i do every child does.i am really mad that she said that. she even called me at my dads right after she dropped me off and said if you want to stay just call me and i'll bring your stuff over.when we were in the car she just kept saying mean things i didn't know what to say.i just sat there crying I didn't know what to do.it was the worst thing that has ever happened to me.you know my friend has experienced divorce and her mom is almost never there but this seems much worse. It is not good but i think im depressed and sometimes i have thoughts of just getting my life over with and killing me

In Religion & Spirituality, Y!A refuses to have subcategories. As a result, it is the one of the busiest (if not the busiest) category here. There are pages and pages of open questions I never see. Good questions are "hidden" by questions by "trolls" - who have no interest in obtaining a well-thought out answer.

I have been developing my list on Contacts, which has helped considerably...in my quest to find difficult answers by atheists, Catholics, and other Christians, etc. The more "stumped I am", the more it drives me to seek out answers, and I thereby grow in my own walk with God.

So, last night, I asked a question asking who would be good to add to My Contacts.

It very quickly got deleted and I lost points for this apparent "violation".

Perhaps it wasn't the "best" of ideas...what do you think?
Was it a violation?

And my "main" question:
Is Y!A in control...or is God?

WHO is sovereign?

What happened is sad, I don't agree with the circumstances but it was not my life.

The whole would she of survived is media speculation, not that of doctors.

Why does the media get to say what it wants about people, and is instantly lapped up?

Note: I am not a JW, but I think the media has handled this badly and done them a disservice in this case.
