Basically, I have no idea how to do the following problems.

1. f(x) = ln(e^-x - x)
2. f(x) = (x^2 + 5)^3 (3x^3 - 2)^2
3. f(x) = (5x^2 + 11)e^-21x
4. y = (x^2 + √x + 1 ) / x^3/2

Any help would be appreciated; thanks in advance!

I mean, I was SAVED. I said the little Billy Graham prayer. But I didn't do anything worthwhile my whole life. I'm going to heaven?

I think not. Paul doesn't say works are unneccessary. Quite the opposite.
Ephesians 2:8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace. (Rom 11:6)

We are saved by grace alone, through faith that works

Paul cannot be accused of contradicting James anymore.

You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. (James 2:24)

Do you know anyone who has been married for a really long time and is obviously still head over heels in love with their spouse? Do they still get caught making out in the kitchen; do they still go on dates; do they make sure to not let the kids get in the way?

I do owe the debt and will pay it, but my credit report is stating the wrong amount. I sent out a debt validation letter and recieved back my debt amount but it is for about 50% less than what is in my CR. What should I do? Contest it again or just contact the debt collector and start my negotiations? I don't want to get stuck with the other 50% after I pay them off.

Find log(√(xy)) base b in term of m and p.

The answer is (m+2p)/14 note that all above equation had log as a "base b" pls show working

Theres this girl in one of my classes that I have an extreme crush on, but we have never even spoken before. Occasionally we hold eye contact from across the room for no longer then one second, and we cross eachother in the hallways occasionally. Seriously. When I was a kid and I didn't know something, I had to go to the library to look it up. Lots of work. Very annoying. But now, anyone can know anything about anything with just a few simple keystrokes: en.wikipedia.org

Is it that some of you are unaware that wikipedia exists or are you truly too lazy to go there and look things up or are you just basically functionally illiterate? I'm genuinely curious here. Why do people ask questions on Y/A and risk getting half-assed or incorrect answers when you can just go to friggin wikipedia? You don't even have to do a Google search for Christ's sake. You just have to go to wikipedia. Are today's young people really that stupid and lazy?

I met this girl at college. After the first date, she sent me a message saying she really enjoyed it and wanted to do it again.

After second date, she messaged me saying "she was really excited about our date. and i had certain qualities, which she admires a lot..... she could not wait to see me again".

I planned a longer third date.... on which she told me she was having some trouble with her ex-boyfriend, who hassled her a bit at the bar. she still has some sympathy for him because he is having a hard time "letting go of her".
then as we were sitting together on a bench on the riverside, i made an attempt to kiss her....... she pushed me away lightly, and said " i dont think so, it is too early, i just got out of a relationship".

I was confused.
I sent her an email the next day........ "apologizing for trying to kiss her, and advised her that if her boyfriend still makes her happy, she should work things out with him."

BUT, problem=I still like her.... advice?

About a month ago, I went out with some friends and drank a bit too much vodka and ended up vomitting like crazy. No suprise-right? Right. So I go out again a few nights ago and have only the equivalent of 1 shot of vodka and within an hour I am vomitting horribly! even the day after i was vomitting and just had to sleep all day.

I guess my question is...why do I only get this reaction after drinking VODKA???

I don't ever get like this when drinking any other type of alcoholic drink.

And, you'll be happy to hear that after my most recent event with vodka-I am never going to drink again...It was that bad.
