A few months ago, we moved from a big house to a small apartment. We're renting two storage units that cost us $150/month. One unit is pretty much filled with computer junk my husband has been collecting since high school.

He's a computer geek, and some of the junk has sentimental value. But most of it he keeps because he says, "Oh, I might need a piece from xxx someday."

My current junk removal policy is: If you haven't used something in a year and you can buy the same thing on ebay or wherever for less than $50, then we toss it.

I think that's pretty fair and reasonable, and so does he, but he is still resistant and claims things are more valuable than they actually are. I mean, he had about 40 dusty monitors just sitting on shelves in the garage that he hasn't touched in ten years.

How can I get him to let his stuff go?

SON OF A ***** FISH

The parish priest went on a fishing trip. On the last day of his trip he
hooked a monster fish and proceeded to reel it in.
The guide, holding a net, yelled, "Look at the size of that Son of a *****!"
"Son, I'm a priest. Your language is uncalled for!"
"No, Father, that's what kind of fish it is -- a Son of a ***** fish!"
"Really? Well, then, help me land this Son of a *****!"
Once in the boat, they marveled at the size of the monster.
"Father, that's the biggest Son of a ***** I've ever seen."
"Yes, it is a big Son of a *****. What should I do with it?"
"Why, eat it of course. You've never tasted anything as good as
Son of a *****!"
Elated, the priest headed home to the rectory.
While unloading his gear and his prize catch, Sister Mary inquired about his trip.
"Take a look at this big Son of a ***** I caught!"
Sister Mary gasped and clutched her rosary, "Father!"
"It's OK, Sister. That's what kind of fish it is -- a Son of a ***** fish!"
"Oh, well then, what are you going to do with that big Son of a *****?"
"Why, eat it of course. The guide said nothing compares to the taste of a
Son of a *****."
Sister Mary informed the priest that the new Bishop was scheduled to visit
in a few days and that they should fix the Son of a ***** for his dinner.
"I'll even clean the Son of a *****," she said.
As she was cleaning the huge fish, the Friar walked in.
"What are you doing Sister?"
"Father wants me to clean this big Son of a ***** for the new Bishop's dinner."
"Sister! I'll clean it if you're so upset! Please watch your language!"
"No, no, no, it's called a Son of a ***** fish."
"Really? Well, in that case, I'll fix up a great meal to go with it,
and that Son of a ***** can be the main course!"
"Let me know when you've finished cleaning that Son of a *****."
On the night of the new Bishop's visit, everything was perfect. The Friar
had prepared an excellent meal. The wine was fine, and the fish was excellent.
The new Bishop said, "This is great fish, where did you get it?"
"I caught that Son of a *****!" proclaimed the proud priest.
"And I cleaned the Son of a *****!" exclaimed the Sister.
The Friar added, "And I prepared the Son of a *****, using a special recipe!"
The new Bishop looked around at each of them.
A big smile crept across his face as he said,
"You ******* are my kind of people!"

I wanted to avoid putting this on a blog or message board for fear of getting uneducated answers. But here we go: In June I had an abortion. After this abortion I immediatley regret it, went through major depression and quite frequently thought of suicide. My symptoms never cleared up, they got worse. I assumed it was the flu because i was throwing up and there was no way i could be pregnant . I went to my doctor and was surprised to find out my blood test came back positive for pregnancy. After many tests about two weeks later it was decided i had a complete molar pregnancy. My doctor explained to me that I never actually had an embryo inside of me, and that it was almost impossible for the women who did my ultrasound to miss that it was a molar. And that it came back worse the second time than it had the first time. Do i have a case against the clinic for not informing me of such a dangerous (possibly life or death) complication? Would it be med.malpractice or something else?

I applied for an apartment on Oct. 8. I went to the office on the 15th for a follow up. I gave the property manager all the documents she requested. I even called her a few days ago to find out if she received the verification forms from my employer, landlord and bank. She said that as soon as she received all the papers she would call me. Well, I just found out that she received everything yesterday. She didn't call me. I called the office today and she is off! What pisses me is that she knows that I have to move by Nov. 1 but she is just taking her time. There are several vacancies and they are ready to be occupied! What the hell is her problem? What should I do now?

Arguments in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage, though also very much steeped in justified demands for equality, generally lean towards "gay people love others of the same sex and they can't help it; why should they be denied the right to marry when they can't love any other way?"

What about a bisexual person? They can conceivably "choose" either a straight or gay relationship. Is the fight for same sex marriage theirs too if they love and intend on marrying a person of the same sex? Or is the fight only for people who "can't help it"?
