Heroes for putting out a fire that should never be put out. We are doing more damage for putting this fire out then if we let it burn. These fires are a natural cleaning agent for the earth to refresh with new growth.
Putting these fires out will actually cause more future fires because all the old dry growth is still there. So why would the fire fighters be called heroes for creating more future fires.

They should be focusing on the many other people who also helped out in this disaster. It wasn't entirely the firefighters. What about the volunteers who helped the displaced homeowners? Why aren't they being honored?
