I got home tonight and there was a ambulance, a small fire truck and a huge pumper truck outside my apartment building!

I thought maybe there had been a fire. Getting out I saw the Fire Department were in the restaurant across the street. Looking in the window I saw the paramedics aiding an elderly woman having trouble breathing.

I've never been able to figure out why on such calls they send the big pumper trucks when they might be needed else where if there were a fire somewhere.

that supposed to mean??. I have no type of sound device on my computer anymore i tried everything i can possibly try such as re-installing..troubleshooter.. and sytem restoring. What is the matter with my computer?

I would love to be able to go see stalagmites and other natural rock formations in FL. However everything I find online is about diving in them.

Is there a difference between a cavern and a cave? I am thinking of things like Carlsbad Caverns and Lost Sea, TN.

I know there is a state park in NW FL that has this - but it is quite a bit of a drive. Are there others?

Brotman Medical Center, a key healthcare provider serving Los Angeles' Westside, is expected to seek protection from creditors in Bankruptcy Court as early as next week, according to three executives familiar with the matter.

Administrators at the 420-bed hospital in Culver City have tried for months to avoid filing a bankruptcy petition but have continued struggling to pay its growing debt.

Brotman became the center of a firestorm last month when state health inspectors released a report finding that doctors and nurses failed to provide proper care to a mentally disabled woman, who died after a series of medical mistakes.

The medical center is expected to file under bankruptcy provisions that will give management more time to fix its financial problems.
