I sure do. However, it takes a lot of willpower and effort. You may have to drop the people who won't let you move on and forget. Good luck. I'm trying to do this myself.

It's the rare exception that someone can ever do that. It takes an enormous amount of humility and strength to admit that you're wrong and humility is a hard emotion for most people to deal with. There are just some hurts that a person can never forgive or get over. So you just can't start over. Basically, no, I don't think you can wipe the slate clean and start over.

Yes, but a severe social offender would naturally have a rougher go of it. If Adolph Hitler were still alive at hundred and something, and doctors said he was completely well now and no threat to society, what nursing home would take him in? He'd need protective custody, even if he acted like Mr. Rodgers. Heaven might take him, but this planet wouldn't. As for a lesser offender like town drunk, a clean slate is easier to come by. Be sincere and honest, and America will forgive.

I did when I left the military. It's not easy and more than often, in getting a clean slate, you have to clean off more than you thought you'd ever have to. But it is worth it.

I do believe in second chances but not everyone deserves one. I just think it depends on the situation and what kind of relationship you and the person had before it happened. Sometimes it's better to just walk away from the person and situation. Especially if they've did something to you before.

Most yes but not all. I don't think that would work for O.J. Unless you're talking about in God's eye and not mans.
