Sure, as long as the National Election day is moved to the day after the budget is submitted by Congress to the White House, or April 15th.

It might also have to be included into the amendment that no taxes can be raised without a 75% majority of both houses of Congress.

Only those who are fiscally responsible -- which leaves out most of the current Democratic and Republican leadership.

It's basic financial sense that you don't live above your means -- that your spending must be roughly equivalent to your income -- and that you cannot live forever just by increasing your credit limits -- eventually the bills come due.

Sadly, most politicians don't seem to have any basic financial sense -- at least, not any for the past most of a decade.

See my impulse would be to say yes, but with this democrat

controlled congress, they could never get it done. If they

were by some miracle to get one done, I'm sure they would

screw it up in some major way like messing up funding for

our military!

I am as long as it's not balanced on the backs of the poor. Clinton did it, why not today? Looks like only liberals are. LOL

This is a good reflection of the nation as a whole. Republicans only talk about deficits, they're not interested in solving them. There's nothing conservative about a conservative.

I cannot say if I would be for it or not until I actually see it and read it. I do not make a habit of backing things blindly.
