I prefer to work but staying at home with the kids works best for our family. Paying daycare for our 2 babies would swallow my entire paycheck. and working a shift opposite of my husband so we don't need a sister or day care would be (was) a disaster, I worked for about 6 months before the babies were born & it was really bad. My husband has no house-spouse skills. I use to come home from 8-10 hour day & have a full days house work to do. So we decided that for now I'm more needed at home. Yeah, I get greif about it from some but they don't know what it's like for 5 kids to not have their mother home & a husband who doesn't know how to operate any applance in the house other than the television & stove. I work very hard as a stay at home mom, I never get weekends or holidays off, & I'm on call 24/7.

Not fat, just about a years worth of size bigger than typical. She is really trimming down now though, and I am quite worried! Suggestions??

We have two Scouts who have raised the most money with fundraisers and everything for this trip, and having been working twice as hard as the others, yet still can't scrape up the cash to go on this amazing once-in-a-lifetime trip! We're pitching in a much as we can but are still falling a bit short... does anyone know who to ask (companies, celebrities, whatever!) that might be able to help us out?

I am confused as most webpages say you don't need a passport to move around the EU but why then do we need a passport if we are travelling within the EU? I just don't get it at all. We want to go on holiday but half the blooming budget is taken up with the cots of 3 passports!
Thanks

It really annoys me when religious fundamentalists (usually christian) find a gap in a theory and go 'GOD DID IT!' without any explanation? Like it isn't ok to just say 'I don't know, I'll try and find out', instead God has to fill the gap that further study will probably find a scientific answer for, causing the religious community to be proven wrong once again?

I mean it's going on with the 'evolution/intelligent design' thing right now. Someone has mananged to fabricate a hole or two in the evolution theory and before you know it BAM! God has been shoved down your throat once again.

Why can't these people learn that the proper default stance on a scientific theory is 'unknown', not 'God'?

The bedroom of my house gets dusty very quickly, and even if I dust everything, it is at best only ever moved around. Does anyone know of a machine that will collect the dust in the air without letting it settle? They may not exist, but I seem to remember seeing something like this once.

Thanks!

I've read all the comments on yahoo answers regarding cigar smoking, cancer and other health risks. To be totally honest though, none of the comments are really informative. Most people have absolutely no idea what they are talking about and are just rattling off useless sentences like "cigars will give cancer, don't smoke" .....

I'm looking for actual data or links to various study's that have been done. I'm much more inclined to believe that smoking a cigar every day would lead to far greater health risks than smoking one a week.

So, does anyone actually have any FACTS (not what you've heard, or THINK you know) on the correlation between the # or frequency of cigars smoked, and how that POTENTIALLY relates to various health problems?

Thanks for any credible information.

I've had him for two years, I bought him when he was 8 weeks old. He pretty much trusts me, I guess. He doesn't run away from me or anything, and he trusts me enough to eat from my hand. He never licks me though, so I think he doesn't like me very much. He won't ever let anyone pick him up. Why??

Diamagnetic is defined as atoms or ions in which all the electrons are paired in filled shells so their magnetic fields effectively cancel each other. Now, I know N2 is diamagnetic because it was the answer to a question on a practice test that I took but O2 was also a choice and it seems to me that there are no unpaired electrons when oxygen is bonded to itself through a double bond. Am I wrong about this? Why is oxygen not diamagnetic?
