That is a very general question. Thats like what's some good food. There is so many choices its almost impossible to begin. Rap has so many sub genres and subjects. It also has various cross breeds with other popular genres. I would probably suggest starting out with rap artists with similar styles to what ever your choice of music is. Then start diversifying your rap once you get into it. Also start off with popular artists like Jay Z, Nas, and Eminems, or newer artists like Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, and Kanye West. But it all depends on your style.

Most anything from Cannibus, Biggie smallz, Tupac Shakur, Immortal Technique, Anything WU TANG (in particular Method man), MOS DEF is an amazing rapper. Look up I against I from MOS DEF on youtube.
