Have you noticed that as a general rule of thumb......women will meet a man and then spend an entire lifetime trying to change him, mold him, scold him, and push him towards reaching his true potential? While men on the other hand seem to want nothing more than for women to go back to being exactly how they were when they first started dating, and to never ever change?

This is the first time for me. I've always worn dresses and skirts, but have never real been the "girly-girl" type - so I don't really have a clue.
I got this dress for the Marine Ball I am attending with my Marine, but I don't know if it suits the 'code.' He mentioned something about it being long gowns (which don't really compliment my figure). I looked it up and saw conflicting responses...
This is the dress I already got, it is knee-length...any thoughts/opinions on it? I can always return it...

I feel like I've really mucked up my life in school - friends, peers, talents, self-esteem, etc.
I love my life out of school and I try to encourage myself to hope and just get through things, but when I go back to school, I see people getting congratulated for doing things I could do better at. I just really don't get around to showing those talents cos i'm not so popular. I see some of my friends hugging others or going for 'walks' with them whereas I am left thinking "what about me". In class, peers get fussed over who they sit with. To me, I'd prefer sitting next to a 'nerd' than someone who makes you look stupid by saying "can i move?"

I get chances to tlk to ppl but I act so shy. I am so happy, confident and smart at home and I wish I was like that at school. I get so hurt over little things at school. I can't wait to leave school/

Please tell me, does life at school not matter later in life? Should I keep depending on my life out-of-school?
Does this happn to other ppl?

This is a strange request, i know, but for christmas i wanna get my dad some yellow dungarees. He had a pair in the 70's and loved them. I'd like to put attention to another section of Yahoo Answers - "Social Sciences => Psychology".

There people get along fine. The amount of trolls is minimal, (if any at all), and the atmosphere is friendly and cozy.

My old boyfriend and I e-mail each other a few times each week. We are now both married to other people, but neither of our spouses know that we are in contact.
