I had Tennis Elbow during this year, and someone told me I wouldn't be able to "get rid" of it. That I would always have a problem with it. That is not true. I am free from it, and can now enjoy all activity that I want to. Just keep an elastic sleeve/bandage on it, which you can get from any chemist, it doesn't have to be anything fancy. Use that and give it a little time without use. Like rest it. You will get over it, no worries. Lighten up on pain killers, coz the pain is their to tell you when you are over doing it. Rest your arm in an elastic sleeve, and it will pass.

I got tennis elbow after I had hip replacement because I over-used that arm lifting myself off the bed, trying to turn over, etc. The surgeon said there really wasn't anything to do for it except a cortisone injection and he "hated to do that."
I talked to my spine surgeon and after he looked at it, saw the swelling, and LISTENED to me, he gave me a cortisone injection in it. Within a week it was 90% better. It's fine now and I'm glad he wasn't afraid to treat it!

Pilate's, you need to strengthen the elbow with exercise and while it will be slow and painful eventually the elbow will return to normal. It worked for me.
