Yes, you are still a kid. Until you are 21 years old, I would consider you to be a kid. I know that legally you're considered an adult at age 18, I have known very few 18 year olds who can actually make it on their own without help from parents. Not only that, but even an 18 year old is still mostly immature and irresponsible (not all 18 year olds are, but the majority are).
Don't be in such a hurry to grow up. It isn't all you think it is.

Yeah sweetie, technically you are still a kid, but starting to grow into adulthood.
Welcome to the term "adolescent", kind of a medical sounding word for crossing that line from child to adult.
It doesn't happen overnight, or even in two weeks, so there are a lot of back and forth feelings in this experience.
Just remember, what makes you different from other people is NOT to be hidden, trampled into the ground, and denied, despite what society tries to tell you.
What makes you different is what makes you uniquely YOU, a valuable human being who is special.
Don't let "looking cool" replace your God given sweetness of spirit- those are the kids who end up losing compassion, losing touch with being real, and end up losers.
There is a good book for this transition called "Stand Tall", you might find it very helpful.

I personally consider 13 "young adult"...However it really depends on a maturity factor as well as how responsible a person is , as well as are they ready emotionally to be a "young adult".
At 13 I was still into toys...I guess you could say a late bloomer. There should be no rush to grow up, but at the same time young adults should be being taught, morals and responsibility!

Your on your way, but yes you are still a kid. This is an important time in a child's life. This is your time to prove how maturate and responsible you can be. In a few years your parents are going to start giving you more freedom the amount of freedom and respect you get may very well depend on how mature and responsible you can prove to be now.

You are not a kid anymore but you are not yet an adult, your inbetween, teenager with all the lovely (not) hormones that come with it!, you become a proper adult at 18 years old. Til then your parents are responsible for you and have a say in what you do and how you live your life, I am afraid!! Just grin and bear it!! it is NOT forever and tho it sounds like a clique they DO have your BEST interests to heart!

I know some 25 year olds who I consider children.
But yes, no matter how "mature" the 13 year old may be, they are still a child.

Yes, you are still a child. I'd say the first stage of adulthood would be 16 but you will be properly an adult when you reach the age of 18.
I know it feels like you are grown up already and I know I felt the same way when I was your age but on the grand scale of things you are still a child. Don't be in any rush to grow up! Enjoy yourself while you can.
Hope this helps you.

In many ways, yes.
In some ways, no. (Before anyone gets the wrong idea I don't mean that in a gross way). By no, I mean some 13-year olds are very mature for their age and have the critical thinking skills many "adults" lack.
But a 13-year old cannot establish credit, pay rent, live on their own, make wise decisions in certain cases, etc., etc. etc.

I consider anyone under 21 to be a kid. Most people remain kids until around 30, however.
Legally, you are adult at 18, but few will ever act as one.
