all over the world, and meant as a mark of respect to Christ.
Yet it is conspicuously absent from people descending from immigrants from "Northern Europe" I certainly never met one.
Is this an unwritten Taboo on the name, or are there other explanations. Just curious !!.

Religion was designed to keep uneducated wild men inline, controlling society, centralizing power and enforcing its laws as the only laws existed during the twilight of our civilization.

In modern times govern and law enforcement functions of Church are replaced.

Church as organization is rotten inside out, it is the wealthiest landlord in the world but the charity is questionable, and the moral image of the Church cannot inspire our communities nor provide any unbiased services neither. Why exactly do we need Church on the social, community level?

Our elderly neighbor who lives across the street from us fell and broke her hip, so she went from a nursing home to her daughter's house to recuperate. She was gone for almost six months, and while she was gone a brood of feral cats moved in to her back yard and took up residence. 1 male, 1 female and 4 kittens. They were beyond socialization. So I got a trap from the Humane Society and managed to trap and remove all but the adult male. Do you think he will move on, or will he stay and attract more feral cats? I figured we got all the kittens who were just about at the age to start mating themselves, and the Momma cat who could get preggers again anytime. What do you think about the dominate male cat? He was very smart and he must have had some "cat sense" because no matter what we baited the trap with, he wouldn't go in. We acutally saw him digging underneath the trap where you put the bait, and scooping out the food with his paws.

I am thinking about using the IUC Mirena for birth control this time around, since my husband and I do not want another baby for at least 2 years, and we got pregnant on the pill last year. Has anyone had good or bad experiences with it? I would love to know!

I may be just imagining things during regular season-that the teams line up on the field to do the traditional "good game" claps. (Maybe they don't.) But if they do....

Why does it stop during post season play?

I have been watching the ALCS with my fiance (a new baseball fan-avid soccer fan) and he pointed it out to me and asked why. In being able to answer all other questions about baseball that he had, I could not answer this one.

please explain.

I know nothing about trees and wood, so would appreciate advice from someone who does. My mom just had a very large, very old oak tree taken down in her back yard. It had been dropping large limbs from high up, causing damage to her roof and vehicles. Now that it's mostly down, there are large, thick logs lying all over the yard, and we're considering selling or trading them to someone for furniture making instead of letting the company that's cutting it down haul it away. My mom says she wanted to try and count the rings to see how old the tree actually was, but that the wood is so dense she can't even make out the rings. Does this mean it's the type of wood that would be coveted for creating furniture or millwork?

I believe I did have ADD when I was a child. No one ever told me, but I was disruptive and I failed the second grade. It went untreated, but I figured that it just "went away" when my grades improved greatly in high school. I graduated with honors, but I had to put a great deal of effort into my studying because I could not absorb info as well as other people. I do suffer from depression, however.

In the 3rd grade I would have some people pull me from class and observe me as I played with some toy soldiers and dinosaurs. I still don't know what the purpose of that was.

In the 4th grade I was put to sit in the back of the room, near the sink, and apart from the rest of the students.

Does this sound like it might have been ADD. Should I seek some kind of help? I am already on Lexapro (since last Wednesday).

We have a basement finished with paneling walls and carpeting and a drywalled ceiling. We want to create 2 new walls and hang a door to make a new room down there. I want to avoid drywall, plus paneling will match the existing basement walls. How do you create new paneling walls, and hang a door? Do you frame out walls as you would for drywall? How can this be done over the carpeting?

Ok, see if you can follow me here. I'm a college student in Maryland. I lived in Maryland for the past 11 years as well, so I got my license here a couple years ago. Last year, my parents moved to Nevada, but I still go to school here in Maryland.

Because I no longer live at the address on my license, I have to get it changed/a new one. But what do I put on it? I'm assuming I can't put a Nevada address on a Maryland license. On the other hand, though, I don't have a permanent address here in Maryland because I just go to college here now. Do I have to fly to Nevada to get a Nevada license, even though I don't technically live there? HELP!

My fiance is in quite a pickle. He got a warrant for his arrest yesterday for trespassing. Problem is, not only is it not his license on the warrant but he really didn't do it. I am with him 24/7, i'd know.

How would he go about fixing this? If he goes to the sheriffs dept, he'll get arrested on the spot. I've called tons of places today and he still has to post a 500 dollar bond. We don't have that kind of money. He also took my car to work today, if he gets pulled over, not only will he get arrested, but my car will get towed

I'm not working, so if he gets thrown in jail for something he didn't do and/or fired, i'm in a load of trouble.

Can anyone help me with this situation? possibly give me some advice or information.

We live in Houston, Texas (Harris County) if that helps any
