Look up - "heaven" means "sky" in Greek and Hebrew.

Because if it exists at all, it cannot possibly exist in a place where we could have access to viewing. Perhaps in another dimension or plane of existence. Perhaps what some call humans' "spirits" head out after death to some galaxy in another universe.
We can't know whether these things (e.g. spirits, heaven) actually exist, so there isn't a "real" answer to your question, not that anyone can say with any certainty.

Because you're not looking with the right "eyes". Try viewing it with your heart.
but it's because there's a thin veil that seperates the two "worlds" (that's the wrong word, I forget the correct one, but hopefully you understand) and not many have the ability to see beyond the veil.
