In Antigone, by Sophocles, is a trait of Creon his audacity? You see, I'm writing an essay and to describe Creon I've already used the words : arrogance, pretentiousness, pompousness, hubris, and probably a few others. I'm just wondering if audacity fits. thanks!-me :)

I was raised and a non-bible thumping Christian home (of great faith). My boyfriend of 4 yrs is an athiest (as I have really recently gathered). I am now ready for marraige and kids in my life, I am 33. He laughs at me when I say I will raise my kids in a faithful home. He is a VERY honest person, beaufiful inside and out, and treats me great. But, can I marry someone who has a different belief in faith and directive? My sister just questioned the same thing, and ended her long time relationship.

I have the land on the Peninsula (slight slope w/ leveled areas) and architectural plans (2 story home (~2500 sq/ft)). I am looking to have average finishes with the exception of the kitchen which will be higher end. Does anyone have any ballpark estimates for construction costs on a per sq/ft basis?

In William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", it shows that true love never run's smoothe. I have so far deduced THAT, but I'm stuck as to examples. Any ideas on how to support this conclusion strictly from the play?

We continue to be the bully of the world and there is no end in sight. The government keeps getting bigger and they recklessly invade other countries in selfish wars for oil and power. We are up to here with the pan-fascist actions of Washington which are turning our country into a police state and it seems like the ultimate goal is world domination. Before 9/11 there was no DHS or Patriot Act. What's it gonna take for them to take everyone's civil rights away in the name of freedom? Probably another attack..I mean they did nothing to stop 9/11 despite all the intelligence that they were planning it. It's only a matter of time before the American people say enough is enough . Most Republicans and most Democrats are on the same boat. They want to take all our freedoms away. To them our constitution is meaningless. So what can we do to stop this? Should we support a 3rd party? Perhaps Libertarians, Greens, Democratic Socialists, etc?

I am working on a novel. It is not specifically about gay people, but there are some gay characters.
Pardoni, the pirate (and then king/conqueror):
He was born the son of a prostitute. As he was growing up he repeatedly saw his mother in situations that a child should not, and saw how sex made her emotionally desolate.
Because of his experiences in childhood, he is repulsed by the idea of hetero intercourse, but of course still has a sex drive. He turned to homosexuality, as he could have sexual relations with a man and not hate himself for making a woman desolate.

This is different to my own experience. I have always been gay, and I have really never been anything else.
I want to know, does Pardoni's turning to homosexuality because of his repulsion to hetero intercourse work? Does this actually happen, that a person can turn gay, even if they aren't simply gay?

(And what is up with my avatar? I chose a face for my avatar, then changed it. Now it alternates. Can I fix that?)
