I saw the Legion of Doom vs the Fabulous Freebirds in a lights out cage match in KC Mo. in 1985. My favorite PPV match was the "Last Battle of Atlanta" between Buzz Sawyer and Tommy Wildfire Rich. The last wrestling match ever held in the Omni in Atlanta Ga. They had a real fued. Arrested in Nasville for brawling at a gas station. Their last match was the real deal. They hated each other.

Type 1 diabetic...inuslin pump user...took a shower last night...took pump off and "suspended" it (stopped it while I was in the shower)...got out of shower and put it back on...watched TV...got in bed...and FORGOT to start pump up again.

Was without insulin for about 5 hours. New pump (have had it for 5 days, still getting used to it). I woke up at 0330 feeling thirsty and having to make a bathroom run. Checked my sugar...it was 439 (no lie...Geez). Got out insulin and syringes and calculated a dose of 9 units and injected.

Now 0621. Sugar is at 110. I feel fine. Pump is running, almost breakfast time.

Do other people have a brain fart and do something as stupid as that? I feel like a world-class dumbass right now. I can't believe I did that. I'll call the doc when his office opens and let him know. I deserve the impending lecture.

Geico Auto insurance says in their radio advertisement that "you can save $500 by switching to Geico" (we'll even assume that the $500 figure is accurate - but they don't state where the $500 figure comes from). I think this ad is clearly deceptive for several reasons.

First of all, it says you "can save" money, not that you "will save" money, but it gives the opposite impression.

Next, it implies that Geico insurance is (on average) $500 cheaper than insurance from other companies which is blatently false.

And finally, and most importantly, it bases the $500 savings on people that "switch to Geico" only. It's not a comparison of all Geico rates with the rates from other companies. So, naturally, if you switched to Geico (and most people switch companies to save money), their rates will appear to be less than the company they switched "from".

Do you think that this Geico ad is deceptive?

I ask this because I had to go through slight hell in order to be able to do it. The assistant manager made me get permission from corporate headquarters before he let me recycle the health spa’s discarded aluminum and plastic beverage containers.

He also told me he didn’t want me recycling because it doesn’t look good. Notice how he did not say he didn’t want me doing it because I’m not an employee of the health spa. Look good?? Over capacitated landfills, polluted beaches, and litter in the streets don’t look good either. I don’t understand why someone would have a problem with recycling.

Whores look wonderful but many of them are riddled with disease. So what’s his point?

I know it`s wrong but when you are sticking to the limit for safety reasons and everyone else is when one miscreant thinks they ought to pass every other car do you get mad? Road works ahead one lane only available you wait in line the miscreant passes everyone then expects to be allowed back in the line.
