the only definite way is to spay her. another is to make sure you are with her at all time while outside to chase off males. or there are special made doggie diapers that females could wear, but you still should be with her while outside.

If you do not want to breed her at all you should get her spayed. On top of not wanting to breed her it is best for her health to get her spayed even if there are no other male dogs in the area. This can prevent cancer, health issues, and a mess. There should be low cost clinic in your area if you do some research.

The best way is to spay the female. This will remove the ovaries and the uterus. If you do not want to spay the dog then you have to watch her very close during her heat cycle and not let her come into contact with any males.

If you don't intend on breeding your dog, the responsable thing to do is to have her spayed.
also if there isn't a male around there's nothing to worry about. But if there is, the only way to stop pregnancy is to keep the two dogs seperated.

If you do not for your own reasons want to get it fixed .You can buy belly bands for the male and Female Dog Diaper Pet Diaper Panty or just a baby diaper will stop it

OK hers the first thing you do call your vet. second make an appointment. third get the dog spayed. forth if you have any male dogs get them neutered. its the only why!

Have her spayed or keep her away from male dogs.
Talk to a vet--they may have Depo for dogs now for all I know.

You can put her on the pill,but you have to give it to her on the very first day she comes on heat and it is not recommended that you keep using it.Get her desexed.
