Christopher Cross', Ride Like The Wind describes my mood at the moment, especially these lyrics except for the Mexico part of course:

And I've got such a long way to go
To make it to the border of Mexico
So I'll ride like the wind
Ride like the wind

I think he would have been better not to have advertised the fact he drives without special branch protection. He must be a prime target for Moslem terrorists, sorry we are not allowed to say "Moslem"until he wins the election again,so shall we just say simply "animal rights terrorists" I did"nt see anyone with them, otherwise like any police they could have sorted out their problem with the cameramen. So I would say Maam, please see your Grandson is better looked after

I happened to look at my son's socioligy book and there it was , a book that had just been published in 2003, the official version of 9/11 and I do mean official , with all the mythology and heroes, but I go aa little bit further back and there is a 2 page , pro nafta spread . do you think that school books should be that political at a 6th grade level , basicly indoctrinating kids to the party agenda???

My husband unexpectedly has a long weekend from work (Saturday-Wednesday). He hasn't seen his family, who lives 12 hours away, in 5 years. Last night he decided that he's going to make the trip down to see them while he's off work. He wants me to come with him but I'd have to miss work on Tuesday.

I feel really bad about calling in. I've only been at my job for 4 months, although I've never called in or been late....what would you do? Should I stay home so that I can go to work on Tuesday or should I go with my husband and call in "sick"? (I work in a bank and we don't have many people on staff so there would only be 2 people there that day if I called off).

As it is--I'm not going, but I could easily be persuaded.

i remember a cartoon from when i was about 7 ish and i can't remember the name, i'm desperate to remember it cos i loved it. it was about this guy who, on an undersea exploration, got trapped in these underwater ruins and transfomed by this sort of power, afterwards it enabled him to breath underwater, but he changed into this weird mer-man type guy whenever he was underwater and went back to normal when he was out of it. ring a bell?

If she does, she has a strange way of showing it. She missed a supervised visit with the boys this week, went to a drive thru when she turned them over to her ex, and seems to want to drink and party all the time! I think she got married too young, married the wrong guy, had a romanticized view of kids and when she realized how much work they are, probably thought it was too much for her! Opinions?

My car is new (13,000 miles) and i change my oil about ever 2000 to 2500 miles with synthetic (royal purple) oil. Everytime I change my oil i smell burning oil for the first 100-200 miles. Then it goes away. The only time I smell it is if I stop and walk by the front of the car with the motor off. I just changed it for the 6th time and made sure not to drop oil on anything in the motor and I cleaned around the new oil filter with a rag to get the oil that drips off the oil pan and exhaust pipe (a little always drips when I remove the old filter). I still smell it. Is this normal in some cars. I have never smelled it before. thanks.
