They say national poltics doesnt have much of an effect on a local level, but it must over time. Doesnt this increase in socioapths and hatemongers in our political system eventually lead to some serious consequences in our quality of life?

And if so, what would have to be done to reverse this trend? Surely apathy is not the long-term answer.

Christianity: 2.1 billion:
Islam: 1.5 billion:
Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic/Atheist: 1.1 billion
Hinduism: 900 million
Chinese traditional religion: 394 million
Buddhism: 376 million

Does this mean that the billions of nonchrisitians are going to hell, unless they convert to chrisitianity? Why would God make so many people who are doomed to go to hell?

I like many others am in financial trouble and am having problems paying my mortgage.
I'm thinking about refinancing my home (for no more than it's current market value) and taking my equity so I can pay off my car and a credit card.
If I do that, and still end up facing foreclosure in the future - what can happen to me besides having my credit ruined?
I live in Arizona - the law here states that - "A lender may not bring a deficiency suit against a person who lost a property that is 2.5 acres or less at a foreclosure provided the property is a single one-family or a single two-family dwelling."
I fall into that catagory. Basicly, I'm wondering about future pit-falls if the worst case scenerio happens and I do end up foreclosing after I do a cash-out refi.

For years I know this full-time nurse (!) who calls herself a PI just by looking up search sites from her home computer on her time off from the hospital. Her clients are adopted people who pay her to search for their real parents. She DOES go on location & grill those in question at their home just like a police detective if they're in her home area.

She also "abuses" her power by looking up dirt on any one on the internet who disagrees with her. She does threaten them by showing them their social security numbers to them as proof of her expertise.

She has NO license to be a real PI, nor does she have any police connections in case of trouble. So I figure she cannot just walk into a station and ask to look up someone's police report there for instance.

I think she is running a very dangerous "second job," because if she provokes the wrong person, she could be targeted herself.

Is it THAT easy for you and I to call ourselves a PI?

After learning from his friend Paul McCartney that owning music rights was a good investment, Michael Jackson turned around and bought the rights to the Beatles music. I believe it was after his success with the "Thriller" album in 1983. I heard Janet say it was a fair business move. I think it was a stab in the back to Paul. I wish McCartney still had control over his own music. I never understood how or why he lost it but I do know Record Companies have always been too greedy (sleazy). That is why the Beatles started the Apple label in the first place (and Zeppelin with SwanSong). I look forward to seeing the movie "Across the Universe" but I would much rather hear original Beatles soundtrack. In advertising, many high ticket product target consumers are beatlemania generation, in their 40s thru 60s. You hear many '60s & '70s music in ads today (and next decade the 80s), yet you never hear the Beatles. I wish we could hear them while those who remember are still alive! Peace

so togther with my native English I can be trilingual. I want to learn Spanish and Arabic. I know this will be a challenge, but my question is will it be to hard to learn both at the same time? Spanish will be easy because I can already speak a little bit. And I deal with spanish speaking people at work all day. Arabic will be another story because I don't know anybody who speaks it and won't be able to speak it as often. Can somebody please give me some input.

She tells true tales of her kinsmen this is true
But on this day she lies a wee bit to you.
She told of fair men & damsels too,
who were given wine & smokes, but just a few.
Then the building did shake
And even the cook was at stake.
The closet's became a portals into fun time
And, we the dragons, started our rhyme.
The folks became beasties in that brothel of sin
And this is where a new story begins.
Though the Scott has honor, that is for sure
Her cottage may not be so pure.
Has she been taken over my magic?
Only a dragon can save her & her habit.
