It's not in my dictionary, but your spelling looks good to me. I think a 'sub contractor' would be slang for a builder of submarines, and in any case I can't see the need for a hyphen. Definitely no capitalization unless the word starts a sentence, of course. Sub, in this case is just a modifier of contractor, unlike a sub commander (submarine honcho). The word subspecies (one word) is in the same category as subcontractor.

subcontractor is one word, not capitalized, no hyphen. you could have used your spell check feature to figure this out. At the very least, you could have gone to dictionary.com and typed it in the search box.
