From a South African point of view England played a great game. Their tight 5 were great against the Aussies. England were committed in the loose with only two Aussies competing for the ball most of the time. Great game and well done England.

Indeed we did deserve to win. It was the finest England performance since we played in the last world cup. Everyone stood up to the challenge and showed that English rugby is not dead. What a great, but fairly obvious choice, by Ashton to bring in Mike Catt to replace that donkey Farrell. If anyone knows how to play the 'big' matches it's always gotta be Catt. He and Wilko work so well together. An extra shout out should go to Sakey after an absolute world class tackle in the 2nd half to stop what would've been a definate try.

Not only did they deserve to win, the Aussies deserved to lose. They constantly buckled under English pressure and gave away silly penalties. They even tried a few underhand tactics that were spotted by the referees. A great game a great result and a poor display of sportsmanship by the Aussies. Even if we lose in the semis, I'll still be smiling.

They definitely deserved to win - I don't think Australia played very well at all, but England DID by consistently applying pressure to the Aussies in their weakest area (the scrum), and forcing them into errors.

yes of course they deserved to win, they played a full 80mins of rugby however in saying that aussie played poorly, so whether aussie gave them a helping hand or johnny kick englands way into the semis they deserved the win and im sure they'll take it with pride.....

we deserved to win. It was a game played profesionaly under strict conditions with all the right governing personel in the right places. if Wilks had scored with the missed kicks we'd have won by more points. its not a case of who deserved to win. we played by the rules and won , simple as that.

Absolutely. Although Australia had a couple of good chances, they played poorly.
