I am recently divorced and left with two mortgages, credit card debt, student loans, a son to take care of, and no child support. If I can sell my house, I will be lucky to break even. I am considering bankruptcy and including my house to simply walk away and let the bank have the keys. I have a good job, but am so buried by debt right now I am living off credit cards. Currently all of my payments are current on the house and credit cards, but I can't keep that up.

Understanding that bankruptcy does not include student loans, can anyone give me some advice on if this is the right thing to do? Additionally, would I then be able to purchase a small townhouse to move into with my son if my parents are willing to cosign the new mortgage with me?

Thanks for any suggestions!!!!

I'm taking a poll to see who is still awake. Why are you awake? I'm awake because I got up at noon. This is a POLL, so don't mark it as against the Y!A rules or whatever. It's a serious question.

If you looked at all the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci and studied his history, what would you really think ?

Mary Magdalene or an effiminate androgynous St John.
The painting was coded but not in the way the author thought but simply testified to Leonardo's procilivities of the homosexual kind as evidence in other paintings like an effeminate St John the Baptist and masculine looking androgynous females in other paintings.

How could they miss what is obvious from his entire record of paintings that he cast the "beloved disciple" as effeminate, as he would have liked it ?

The umpires now decide that the game will now become 20-20 i.e. the second team will also bat for 20 overs only. But as we all know that the second batting side will get only 8 overs of powerplay. Isn't that unfair? Shouldn't the rules be changed so that in case rain curtails the match the second team also gets the equal no of field restricting overs ?

Horrible question...Does it even have an answer?

A cone is circumscribe around a sphere. The radius of the sphere is 5 units.

The accompanying illustration is of an equilateral triangle (although you cannot assume that this is correct) with a circle touching all three sides, almost like a tangent. From the bottom left corner to the circle’s center there is a line, where the radius is shown as 5 and the rest of the way to the corner is x. From the centre of the circle, strait down the bottom of the original triangle forms a line of 5 units and a 90 degree angle. All of this forms a second triangle inside the first. We were told this is so the you can use the Pythagorean Theorem.

a) Write a formula for the volume, V, of the cone in terms of x. What kind of function is V?
b) Determine the roots of the function in part a. Do the roots have any geometrical meaning? Explain.
c) What is the domain of the function in part

I wondered if anyone felt like me.

I did not tell anyone that I was actively suicidal. It was only a couple of months ago that I told my doctor. That was a mistake for me. I didn't want to put the burden on anyone. People who are truely suicidal, I would think they wouldn't tell anyone. Or maybe I'm the only one who thinks that way.
