If you looked at all the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci and studied his history, what would you really think ?

Mary Magdalene or an effiminate androgynous St John.
The painting was coded but not in the way the author thought but simply testified to Leonardo's procilivities of the homosexual kind as evidence in other paintings like an effeminate St John the Baptist and masculine looking androgynous females in other paintings.

How could they miss what is obvious from his entire record of paintings that he cast the "beloved disciple" as effeminate, as he would have liked it ?

Leonardo's lifestyle was seen as a further acknowledgement for many of the other Renaissance artists that celebrated the era and greatly respected Leonardo himself. For instance, also profiled in the film are Albrecht Durer, who actually painted himself as a feminine Jesus!

The film mentioned being "Rape of the Soul" that testifies to the homosexual tendencies of the then Renaissance artists (and interestingly even "artists" today)

I know the da vinci code is BS. This makes more sense when understanding the effeminate figures.

Westwood printers, see for yourself. Look at the fashion world for example, thin androgynous hair short cropped females and effeminate men.

The DaVinci Code is a fictitious novel that got old quite a while ago. John, The Beloved Disciple, has always been portrayed as young and thus effeminate.

I'm not even Christian, btw. When someone looks at the Last Supper, it becomes obvious that all of the DaVinci Code's theories about it are false.

The problem is that some people, ignorant on God's word, think that this is true and they don't know that is based in secrets that they don't know yet. So they studied some real "facts" and they came out with some speculative answers. Until they don't find that secret(probably they will never find it) you guys search on the Bible that's the holy truth to know about Jesus and God in what they are, what they want and what they're gonna do. Don't waste your time in speculations. Have you read the Bible? - Have you read the Da Vince Code?....Shame on you.

Get smart! The Da Vinci code is just a story, it is not fact. But just like Darwin's Theory of Evolution some stupid people will come a long and proclaim it to be historical fact. Evolution was written to prove the freedom of the press, nothing more. The DaVinci Code was written to sell books, it is only a story, but some one turned it into a movie. That does not make it real!

I don't understand exactly if you are saying if the da Vinci code is right or wrong.............. You use too many big words.

I think its just stupid to consider da Vinci a valid source for anything. So what if he painted Mary in that picture of the Last Supper? Did da Vinci live in the time of Christ? How on earth could his paintings be more credible then the Bible?

Those are only paintings which are not true to the original appearances of those person concern. In another way, daVinbci Code is just a fiction . There is no truth about it.

There are other reasons to believe the theory you mentioned. His writings and the writings of some of his contemporaries, for example. The theory isn't just some hair-brained idea with no historical basis.

I do not see anything gay about Him,although sexual preference would not matter, the man was brilliant,do you know he designed the tanks we use today in our military.I am Christian,He was Gnostic,I have a hard time with that, but
He was amazing and way ahead of His time.

It really doesn't matter, there are far more things that make xtianity a false belief structure. Why would anyone care about a person's sexuality.

Well, if he really was gay, I'm not sure that he would "feminize" St. John the Baptist. If he was gay, wouldn't he want St. John and others to look masculine? Wouldn't he be less attracted to the feminine figures?
