Ooooh,goood question.For the record,I've never been in either situation,no disrespect to those that have.If I married someone and found out that I was gay,that would be terrible.My only choices would be 1)mess around behind her back,which betrays her love and trust 2)Come clean,which would probably break her heart,or 3)Keep it inside and betray myself.Either way,I'm either hurting myself or someone else.
If I marry someone and find out that she's gay;(first of all,I'll save the "meat-in-the-sandwich" jokes for next time).Well,that's a bigger question.How did I find out?Did she tell me,or did I catch her somehow?The second way would be worse,there would be more anger involved that way,but I would be crushed the first way,too.
The bottom line is;KNOW yourself before you commit to someone,this kinda mess shouldn't happen to anybody.I'm gonna go with the second one,it would be worse,FOR ME,to marry and find out I was gay.I can recover from a broken heart;I don't know if I could live with myself knowing I did it to someone I (thought I)loved.

If you yourself are gay, it's something you cannot control and are probably happy realizing. So definitely finding out that your significant partner is attracted to the opposite sex - that's worse (but you should wish them well).
