Was it pre-determined from the beginning of time (or the not-beginning of time, if time had no beginning) that at this very moment the laws of the universe would command that you, in your present consciousness would be reading THIS right now, and that it was un-avoidable, and all free-will is an illusion? Or are you just fumbling through the universe like a drunken vagabond who happened to fall on this question like a vegas roulette on RED?

hi, my relatives and i intend to go on a trip to japan. however, my family has been to tokyo and hokkaido, where i myself have been to kanazawa and miyazaki, on top of the above two.

is there anywhere in japan worth going? we prefer to look at scenery and do activities rather than to look at buildings. ^-^ is there anywhere in japan that's a must-see besides these?

I've been reassessing my beliefs, but I feel an emptiness and I really want to find somewhere to fill that void. I'm looking for a Christian religion that's pretty liberal without a lot of dogma attached (a basic belief in God and Jesus, but more openmindedness toward liberal beliefs). The churches in my town are Presbyterian, Methodist, Catholic, and Baptist.

The other day I bought a pair of black skinny leg jeans from Jay Jays (an Australian store) and tried them on and they fit fine at the waist and because I was in a rush I bought them, however after taking them home I realised they are too baggy on the legs and slightly baggy at the waist... I've worn them once so I can't see them letting me return them as I threw the tags out, is there anyway I can shrink them to fit me more tightly? However, I don't want skin-tight jeans, I just want them to fit properly...

I know it happened to Mischigan, but like UCLA they lost to an unranked team pretty baddly but other ranked teams this weekend Number 3-10s go beat by no name teams and they dont fall out of the Top 25 right away. I dont know but I think the BCS is a little lobsided. Like Hawaii, they are not a Top 25 level team, they allow a lot of points to colleges that arent even good in football, their quarter back sucks, and their D isnt very good. I donno but I have a big problem with the BCS. Any CONSTRUCTIVE comments about the BCS would appreciated.

Due to a chronic back condition I was prescribed a fentanyl patch. I wore it for a couple days then the area beneath it became welted and irritated. The second one had the same effect in just a few hours. I recently had surgery, now every time I dress the incision I have a reaction to where the adhesive touches the skin for any length of time. I have never had this problem until the duragesic patch. I have tried several types of medical adhesives and all seem to have the same effect. For example I removed some of the tape around 30 hours ago and it is still welted and itching and in a place or two burns. Does anyone have an idea what I might do about this and/or an alternative for holding on the dressing as this is the most irritating thing I can imagine. I have tried washing the area with alcohol to remove the adhesive and a cortisone cream for the irritation and nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated more than you know.

We feed our dogs raw chicken bones all the time. They are on a raw diet. I do not recommend cooked bones ever. They do change density and become brittle but a dog should not suffer any ill effects for an occasional accidental ingestion of a cooked bone. Dogs do NOT choke on chicken bones nearly as much as people think they do. It is a scare that has been around for many many years and the truth is that it is just not happening much. Dogs choke on sticks, socks, rocks, kibble, rawhides, toys FAR more often thean any dog ever choked on cooked bones.
If you look around on the net for dogs choking on bones, you will find a whole slew of people stating the dangers of bones but you will rarely find a vet site or anyone with any credibility making these statements.
It happens on occasion I am sure. But it's not an automatic death sentence by any means. Dogs have survived on bones for thousands of years. If bones were so dangerous, dogs would have been extinct eons ago.
