The views of the Saudi scholar though respected but are not the final authority in Isla.

Quran (word of God) or Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) has never spoke about this topic meaning kept silent. Even the second authority of four right guided caliphs did not speak about it.

Omer bin Khattab, the second rightly guided caliph spoke about similar event where there is no clear command that "these are left to one own discrimination". It means this type of things which are not cleared for sin and not harmful for you or others or society are on your discretion and masurbation is one of them.

Now some young men cannot marry and instead of controlling masturbation they will have more susceptibility to go to animal, boys and other girls. It is better to control masturbation but naturally it is not possible so it is allowed on your own discretion.

Masturbation is prohibited in public or for married persons because it will effect right of their wives. Except this masturbation is not a sin according to the teaching of Islam. Schorlars to should read books more carefully and see the nature also because Islam is religion of nature.

You don't need toys. I've masturbated almost every day since I was 12, and did not even SEE a sex toy until I was 40! Best orgasms are from direct clitoral stimulation, NOT inserting stuff in your vagina, so just keep playing with your clit to find what feels best to you. Generally, rubbing the SIDE rather than the tip works better. I like rubbing in a circular motion. I really enjoy using my shower massager. It's fun because I can vary the speed and pulse of the water stream. Variation makes for more interesting masturbation, too. But, again, it is an individual thing. Experiment with yourself.

If even moderate Islam maintains that masturbation is sinful, the entire ME situation makes a LOT of sense.

It's not a sin in my religion, because I'm irreligious.

It is reputed to cause blindness, hairy palms, and impeachment.

This is what Islam says on the matter:

Abd al-Aziz bin Baz, the late grand mufti of Saudi Arabia warns against masturbation and his warnings against onanism are repeated on many Muslim sites. The habit will disrupt the digestive system, damage the eyesight, inflame the testicles, erode the spinal cord ("the place from which sperm originates"!), and lead to tremors and shakes. Nor are the "cerebral glands" unaffected, with concomitant decline in IQ and eventual insanity. Last of all, and still tormenting millions of healthy youngsters with guilt and worry, the Mufti tells them that their semen will grow thin and insipid and prevent them from becoming fathers later on.

The Inter-Islam and Islamic Voice sites recycle this tripe, as if there were not already enough repression and ignorance among young males in the Muslim world, who are often kept apart from all female company, taught in effect to despise their mothers and sisters, and subjected to stultifying rote recitation of the Koran.

Their problem is not so much that they desire virgins as that they are virgins: their emotional and psychic growth irremediably stunted in the name of God, and the safety of many others menaced as a consequence of this alienation and deformation.

As far as I've run into, people think masturbation is a sin because they think sexuality was created solely for the purpose of procreation. Anything outside of that is thus "sin."

Personally, I think that's wrong. Sexuality makes procreation pleasurable, but pleasure is never a bad thing, and treated with respect, ones sexuality will bring a lot of pleasure to your life. I can't possibly see something like this as a sin.

As far as I know there are absolutely no practical negative effects of masturbation, it's a totally healthy and normal practice.

Perhaps the absence of being able to practice delayed gratification....? That would be about the only negative effect i can think of....

i know that the sexual pleasure thing is a god given instinct...so how can it be bad? But then again, i am not a member of the Islam faith, so i cannot possibly understand.

Some other religions treat this as a sin, too; and it's just as stupid and silly. Personally, I think it's all about control - if you can compel a person to curb their entirely natural sexual urges, good lord knows what else you can con them into doing in the name of their 'faith'.

its Not a sin because if it was then Everyone on the planet would go to hell.
Everyone has done this AT Least Once has tried it.

Its human impluse and its a feelilng that just comes over once in a while and if you tend to it then you feel better, if you dont then it builds and tends to go over inito fustration.

NO BAD SIDE EFFECTS TO MASTURBATING. JUST ASK ANY DOCTOR.
