i'm trying out for this part in the school musical. the director has already auditioned me like, 4 tmies, but there are 7 girls (including me) trying out for these 2 places. the charactor is Mrs. Harcourt from "Anything goes" and she is a bit snobby, obsesed with her daughter marrying this other guy, and a rather protective mother. she is supposidly a really funny charactor. i need tips ASAP 'cause the final auditions are tomorrow. i'd really like ur help! thanks a lot! :-D

I told a christan that going to heaven should be judged by your deeds not on whether you belive that jesus was the savior or not... He told me im going to burn in hell forever and i politly asked him hell must not be so hot if one can burn in it forever and not really burn then he grunted and left back to my question according to the bible only christans can go to heaven right So all the Native Americans who worshiped many gods but helped plently of people(when africans ran from thier slave masters native americans took them in) they should go to hell but the slave masters who were chirstans get to go to heaven even though they did something terrible just because they belive jesus was the savior So why can christans only go to heaven

I really don't get this "physician heal thyself" mentality.

Even though many drugs are sold OTC these days that used to require a script in days-gone-by, the only reason they were "allowed" to be sold OTC is probably because people couldn't afford doctors (in the USA) and without government regulation on all that stuff, they just downloaded the responsibilities onto the pharmacists and allowed consumers to have "access" to these drugs.

The other issue too is that drugs were "COVERED" by insurance companies when prescribed by doctors, but having them sold OTC removed that coverage, so the COST was downloaded onto consumers too.

When are people going to wake up and see that this is all a scam designed to gouge the consumers?

Drugs that are sold this way can eventually kill you but you'll never be the wiser will you?

IGNORANCE is what all these corporations are counting on. No one can blame them when you yourself are the one doing you harm. Herbal stuff is worse!!

My parents were Christian missionaries. I spent the first seven years of my life in Zimbabwe where I grew up among people who sacrificed easy comfortable lives in their home country in order to help the poor in Africa: doctors, nurses, teachers and ministers who dedicated their lives to building hospitals and schools and supplying medical help and education to the people of Zimbabwe. You can imagine how it annoys me when I see questions posted by people in this forum pointing fingers to Christianity as the source of all evil and pleading for religion to be banned. To me they seem to believe a lie. That is why I did a search on the internet to find some proof of what Christians are doing worldwide. I found this and saved it on my laptop, but I know for certain that it is only the tip of an iceberg:

1. Last year alone, CBN Partners:
 provided medical treatment to over 785,000 people;
 drilled clean, fresh water wells and cisterns for over 425,000 thirsty people;
 ended the suffering of over 625 children through cleft palate surgery;
 provided hundreds of thousands of meals;
 paid the school tuition and gave supplies to thousands of young students.

2. Emmanuel Activity Centre (EAC)
COH runs a day activity centre called Emmanuel Activity Centre (EAC), serving people who have:
Down’s syndrome
Intellectual disabilities
Autism spectrum disorder
Cerebral palsy
Multiple disabilities

3. We operate across the spectrum of violent conflict: from displacement to repatriation, from rehabilitation to the re-development of conflict-damaged communities. CORD’s key sectors are education and livelihoods. Our work also addresses cross-cutting issues: child protection, gender violence, trauma, HIV/AIDS, environmental issues and forgiveness and reconciliation.

And if you feel you could help instead of criticizing other people, here’s a useful website:
http://www.tearfund.org/

Now tell me: Do you honestly believe that religion should be banned?

Before I met my current husband I was not at all selective about who I slept with. I had close to 15 male sexual partners before the age of 21.

In my early twenties I developed a metabolic disorder that keeps me from being thin, no matter how much diet or exercise I get. The men stopped approaching me because, presumably, not many men want to sleep with overweight women. In hindsight, it probably saved my life because it was only a matter of time before I got AIDS or some other terrible disease.

I met a wonderful man when I was 22 who didn't care that I wasn't thin, and we got married. I am now 40 and still overweight.

I am wondering, if I ever lost the weight through new drugs or medical procedures, would I go back to being promiscuous as I was before I gained the weight? I don't want to cheat on my husband, but I wonder if the temptation would be too great not to seek out that kind of rush of excitement from a man?

I'm need a new Digital Camera, one of the small ones that you can stick in your pocket. Please help me, I have no idea what to look for... so if you could tell me the best camera you've had (it would have to be pretty recently made though). I'd appreciate if you could send me the title of the camera and if you can, a picture of it.
The only thing I know is I would like to have a camera with a larger screen... 2.5'' at the least.
I would appreciate any words or any advice... thank you!

Much of the world is celebrating today as the 800th birthday of the wonderful Persian Sufi poet Jalaluddin Rumi.

When there is currently so much enmity towards Muslims and the Muslim world, it can a real benefit to reconnect with the power and beauty of that civilization's most lovely contributions. And it doesn't get more lovely than Rumi (who, for some years now, is the most widely read poet in the world, including the Americas).

This question was asked by someone else a couple weeks ago, but it feels especially fitting to ask it again today:

Do you have favorite poems from Rumi you'd like to share?

Here are a pair I am especially fond of ....
