Even though its just an audition and not the real show, it may help you to look the part. Often I feel more comfortable with a character when I look like them. Try finding an outfit and accessories/props that make you feel like the character -- You'll be surprised how much this helps. Get into the character and be confident in your choices, but be willing to take direction if given. These are things a director and his staff will be looking for. Good Luck!

I think I all ready answered this. The best thing you can do it just go and have fun. Do the audition with energy and enthusiasm. (I think your director is doing a lot of harm by dragging the auditions out, unless this is a performing arts hs there is nothing to be gained by taking so long to cast the show.)

if she is snobby and funny at the same time then it sounds to me as though she is an extremely over the top character!! so dont be afraid to go a bit over the top thats what musicals are about big movements, big voices and totally unreal characters!! good luck hope you get it!!
