If you want to take a cab to outlet stores in LA, the cheapest would probably be the Citadel Outlet stores in Commerce. Not as good as Camarillo, or Cabazon, but they have Old Navy, Guess, and a few other stores. The cab ride would be about 40 dollars. Camarillo is just to far to go from LAX via a taxi, unless you want to spend big money getting to it.

Annie, I don't get your obsession with getting to outlet malls from the Los Angeles airport. All of the good outlets are far away from LAX (part of the reason why they are discount centers is that the malls are built in an area where land is cheaper, and no land near LAX qualifies.)

If you want to buy clothes inexpensively and you are flying into LAX why not consider the LA Fashion District instead, as you can either take the Flyaway bus to Union Station downtown ($4) and the DASH route D public transit bus ($.25) from there, or alternately take a cab from LAX as there is a set price for cabs from the airport to downtown LA of $42. http://www.fashiondistrict.org/show.aspx?mi=2665

Camarillo, you could take the Flyaway bus to Union Station and then take the Ventura County Line Metrolink to Camarillo, then take a cab from the Camarillo Metrolink station to the Outlet Mall there, but that's a multihour trip...you sure it's worth it? Would cost hundreds of dollars in cab fare, so that's not realistic.

Really, if you really want to do outlet malls, face it, you HAVE to rent a car.

Well depends on how far you live from the Outlets and what that cab's rate might be per mile

Fly into a different airport for one thing.
There is one in Ontario which would be closer to these outlet malls.. I think..
Plus, you should research how good the outlet malls even are before you fly out to L.A. just for the outlet malls.. you might find yourself disapointed..

don't take a cab! with the mileage and the possibility of sitting in traffic, you'll spend more on the ride that you would at the mall!
