I've been working at my job for about three weeks. Not to brag, but I know I have done very well since I am more of a people person and good at communication when it comes to sales. Last night, a friend and I worked with a new employee, he is 18 and was hired on Thursday. But he told us last night that he was our new shift manager. He does not know how to do anything, he has a horrible temper when it comes to doing anything for the job, he charges customers too much, he is also very rude to the customers. Another fact is that he is the son of the manager's friend. So my question is, is this appropriate? More over, is this even right for my manager to do? He does not know how to do anything and could possibly ruin the company's customer service reputation. I really like this job, it's the first one I've enjoyed, even though I've had gread displeasure about my managers. Sadly I think I have to look for a new job already. I don't understand what kind of manager would do that.
