Yes you will lose weight on 1300 calories a day. But your body will quickly adapt to the calorie drop and weight loss will slow and eventually stop without exercise. Your food choices are pretty poor here and you wouldn't actually be able to keep eating like this for long. You'd soon break down and head for the heavier junk food (pizza, hamburgers, ect) and binge to try to make up for the nutrients your body is staving for. You'd gain back everything you might lose plus about 20% more fat for the next time. If someone tried this their body would be so messed up that they would never be able to manage their weight properly and probably have long term health issues..good luck

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Yea it matters what you eat. Its really true that you have to eat a palm size portion of protein a day(thats meat, cheese, eggs, nuts) and after that your other calories should be low carbs. so eat 15carb whole wheat bread, whole fruit, and vegs. I stick to the 1200, but I stay hydrated with water, and make sure I drink milk,a glass. Now after this you must move, if you don't no cigar----this gets your metabolism burning off fat. So, look at a diebetic diet, they do this as a mainstay. Also stay low glycemic as you can. (no processed sugars or high salts,ie: processed cerals, or chips)

If you are able to maintain that much calories, then yes you. But I must warn you that if you go lower than 1200 calories a day, then your metabolism will get low. this makes most of your food that you ate into stored fat. this happens because your body thinks that it needs to be in survival mode making you store fat for surviving. I recommend you to stay in shape, do some exercises or play a sport. try avoiding fatty foods and stick with chicken veggies and fruits.

I doubt it. The amount of carbs and fat matter too. If you eat all carbs, like 1200 calories or pasta and rice, I doubt you would lose weight. It probably depends on the person though and their metabolism. It also depends on how many calories you burn, if you are an active person or not.
