Your Yearly Dementia Test

It's that time of year to take our annual senior citizen test.
Exercise of the brain is as important as exercise of the muscles. As we grow older, it's important to keep mentally alert. If you don't use it, you lose it! Below is a very private way to gauge your loss or non-loss of intelligence.
Take the test presented here to determine if you're losing it or not. The spaces below are so you don't see the answers until you've made your answer.
OK, relax, clear your mind and begin.

1. What do you put in a toaster?




Answer: "bread." If you said "toast,"
give up now and do something else.
Try not to hurt yourself.
If you said, bread, go to Question 2.

Unfortunately the engine fails before he can do so and the plane fatally crashes smack in the middle of "no man's land" between East Germany and West Germany . Where would you bury the survivors? East Germany , West Germany , or no man's land"?






Answer: You don't bury survivors.

5. Without using a calculator - You are driving a bus from London to Milford Haven in Wales . In London , 17 people get on the bus. In Reading , six people get off the bus and nine people get on. In Swindon , two people get off and four get on. In Cardiff , 11 people get off and 16 people get on. In Swansea , three people get off and five people get on In Carmathen, six people get off and three get on. You then arrive at Milford Haven.
What was the name of the bus driver?

first i am a 15 year old boy
every once in a while i get these pains in my ribs and head. the pains in my ribs is a very sharp pain and it happens for about 2 minutes and then it gets worse and it lasts overall for about 10 minutes and i cant breath well and i sweat. and i get headaches that last for 2-3 days and my eyes get bloodshot and i get dizzy and i cant think straight. i really would like to know what is going on and my friends are worried also please let me know wut is going on.

I have an accounting question regarding final accounts. One of the adjustments is:-
The bank reconciliation of 31 December 1998 shows two reconciling items.
-Dishonoured cheque $2000
-Mark-up Charges $1200

What will be the effect of this in final accounts? (i.e in trading and profit and loss a/c and balance sheet?)

The topic of 'paradigm' was being taught the other day in class. I still wasnt exactly clear on what it was/did/ type of situations it could occur in. From how I understood it, I thought the bible would be a good comparison to a paradigm. the teacher just looked at me like i was nuts.

But even after reading definitions of what a paradigm is, I can still see things such as: religion, the bible, media, and our associates for ex., as paradigms.
So... am i getting this or am i nuts ?

What exactly is a paradigm? Can the Bible stand for a substantial paradigm?

I've been with this man only two months but have known him for a few years before that. He is very clingy and needy, and depressed too. Everytime I get angry at him, or don't want to spend every single ounce of free time that I have with him, he hurts himself or breaks things. What should I do? Her company took forever to even say she could file a Workers Comp ( she got robbed at her place of work) This happened in Jan07 and she seems to be going down hill sice then. WC finally allowed her to see a psyc doctor in July 6mo later. They said she had PTSD and anxiety gave her a bunch of meds and sleeping pills, and told her to start a journal. None of this seems to be working. She seems so unhappy all the time She's a wonderful mother to our three kids but I just don't see that sparkle in her eyes anymore. She is nervous anf jumpy all the time, she very rarely leaves the house. She won't even walk the dog around the block. I've tried talking to her and getting her out of the house, but she gets so paranoid and nervous.
WHAT SHOULD I DO. I love this woman, she's the mother of my kids, and I want her back and healthy and happy!!!

Any suggestion or anyone going through something like this. I need advise!

About 2 weeks ago, my lower back started hurting for some unknown reason. The pain extends down my left buttock and I have to walk hunched over. I went to my dr. and he ordered an x-ray which was negative for any abnormality. He prescribed only 15 Vicodin pills and basically told me I was fine. The painkillers seem to take the edge off and I also take it with ibuprofen and have been using a heating pad. The problem is, the pain has not subsided at all so I called my doc back and he won't prescribe any more vicodin or anything and told me that "it should be better by now" so keep taking the ibuprofen, which doesn't help. He is making me feel like I am just wanting drugs. I can't switch docs, but is there anything else I can do? Why are drs. so hesitant to prescribe narcotic painkillers to someone that really needs them? I have heard of people that don't really have pain anymore and their dr. gives them large amounts of painkillers regularly.
